The Kansas City Chiefs relayed another set of roster moves via the NFL transaction log on July 30, signing wide receiver Kwamie Lassiter II amid a string of training camp injuries at the position.
Kwamie was in Memphis last season with the USFL Steamboats. I think he’s a solid special teams guy. Just happy to see him get another opportunity. I watch guys like Sky Moore and think there are several better options at the spot.
The older I get the less I enjoy the summer.

@dylans for sure it has taken years of tests to get absolutely nowhere on my wife. After thousands in bills they think she may have some form of arthritis. The healthcare in this country is a total joke and scam to make billions of dollars. I don’t go to the doctor very often. Big pharmaceutical companies fund most medical schools in this country. They don’t want to fix a damn thing just want to add prescriptions and get kick backs. Insurance is a total joke all around as well.
Coach Self was hospitalized today. Here’s the full statement from KU Athletics: “Kansas men’s basketball coach Bill Self felt unwell and experienced some concerning symptoms Thursday. He was transported to Lawrence Memorial Hospital, where he had two stents inserted. The procedure went very well, and he is expected to make a full recovery. He is in good spirits and expects to be released from the hospital soon.
Not a good way to start the sports year friends, his health continues to become a major issue. Hopefully he can coach this season and end a great career on a high note. But this just confirms the clock is definitely ticking on his career.
@FarmerJayhawk I was thinking the same but you never know. All that could be said about WV and we still added them at the time when supposedly Louisville and Cincinnati were in talks with the conference.
@SlimShaddy54 Ya I wasn’t super impressed with Mayo this past season. But damn he looks like a 7th grader out there most the time. Hoped he could make a league over seas but I’m not holding my breath.
@Crimsonorblue22 that is maybe the ugliest game of basketball I’ve ever witnessed. No ball movement, tons of turnovers and just very sloppy play. I’m glad we won but man Cam Martin would help us if he was on our team.
I think Furphy was a lotto pick had the NIL let him stay and make some money. He has a ton of upside if given the right path.

I ended up turning off the draft tonight. It’s turned into the Shedeur show and it’s a bunch of race baiting crap. This is exactly why I seldom watch the network without KU playing on there. It’s just plain laughable at this point. The NFL is so racist that over 75% of the picks are non whites and the for the I believe the 4th year in a row the first pick is a minority QB. This league employs rapists, domestic abusers and drug users. Hell Ray Lewis killed a guy for Christ sakes. I honestly think Shedeur can play at this level if he lands in a good spot but 90% why he ain’t getting drafted is teams don’t want a side show distraction from him and his dad. There are too many good players without that baggage that are going first. They act like the guy just won the NC, he is a game above .500 as a starter at the FBS level. I’ve had to fire guys that were decent workers that didn’t fit in as a team member, were too negative and flat out not a team player. The NFL Is a for profit business.
Edit: at the end of the 3rd round a grand total of 5 QBs have been selected. In all of CFB I’d prob rank him 8th best.
I have a black stone griddle and I really like it can cook more meals on it with breakfast and such. I’ve had this issue before and I’ve always been able to tap my regulator with a mallet if it to cure itself. But if you can’t get it off to replace it unfortunately you likely will need a new grille.

The game is being played at Houston’s pace so far, Florida is struggling with the in your face defense. Houston has 10 more shots so far but only a 4 point lead

If I remember correctly White at one point was committed to us in highschool. I think these are a few good role players but we are gonna need atleast one stud to help DP unless we are expecting 35 nightly from him.

@BShark I agree, would’ve liked to keep him but not for what the rumor mill says he getting money wise. Auburn is rumored to have offered him 3 million and Indiana 2 million. With how he played down the stretch and his no contact clause in the portal. I’d bet good money he knew what he was doing as soon as the season was over.
@SlimShaddy54 I’m hearing Flory is back at his handlers house in Indiana and they are offering him a minimum of 2 Million to be a Hoosier. Not sure I’d match that offer for a guy that’s likely 2 years away from being a lottery pick.

If we had the 2008 team this year 90% of the young dumb fanbase would be crying about Darnell Jackson and Rus Rob. Coach is stupid man! he needs to play Sherron and Cole more or they will transfer! At least that argument would have been about actual studs on the bench. The idea that Flory and Coit/Moore were somehow going to take this team to the promise land was fools gold anyway.
Comparing guys like Jackson whom was drafted to a guy like KJ that likely is done with basketball is laughable. KJ and Juan are great guys and would’ve been fine serving in back up roles. I’ve always said KJ should’ve been a Mitch Lightfoot type of player. RusRob I think is somewhat comparable to Juan but was better defensively. Collins played plenty very similar to Remy in the 2022 tournament they pretty much went 50/50 for PT.
@SlimShaddy54 right I just struggle to think we will have more than one rotation player on campus right now with Jackson. Those deeper roster spot will be hard to fill thru the portal. Guys won’t want to come in to be the 10th guy in 7-8 man rotation.
@drgnslayr a 100% spot on buddy, I’m in agreement with you. People above are mad at the idea of a GM but it appears to be working well for Duke.

He averaged less than 5 minutes per game, a little tough to showcase a lot in those situations

As sad as I am to see Passmore leaving I can see it from his side of the fence. There were several games this season when he got hooked and pulled out of the game after one mistake while others were allowed to make dozens without Bill even seeming to get on them. Like my grandfather used to say when you pray for rain you have to deal with the mud sometimes. Bill made his bed and now he has to deal with the consequences no matter how unfortunate it is for us.
