@kjayhawks agree the Fresno win was good. It was more dominant than I expected. I see it the same way with KSU, we are cursed against them. KU finds ways to lose that game.
Tough scene for the voiceofmorgantown guy on x. He was so sure WVU would win and KU was “overhyped”.
Peepeepoopoo at the skill positions. Yikes. RB is a disaster.
Don’t want Constanza at all. He’d have to be the second wing and I’d still prefer Perry for that.

@Crimsonorblue22 Took a look at that page. Can’t believe anyone takes what they say seriously. They have "quotes"superimposed on pictures as if the person pictured said it but actually no attributon. Made up for clicks, I’d say… It was posted 2 hours ago but no legit source has that story. The comments are totally toxic. Read for amusement, not news!
Best thing to do is ignore everything on facebook unfortunately. The amount of 100% fake stuff I see on there is insane. I don’t even want to post the examples to give them the time of day but blatant lying about sports stuff for clicks.

@BShark Yes. People are shitting on the secondary (and rightfully so), but the defensive line was by far the worst position group.
Dline can really make or break a secondary imo. Most guys can only cover for so long, even better secondary players.
KU was fortunate to be in the game, based on yardage. I’m sure that’s been said alot already but it was baffling
Tough stretch coming up, let’s see if they can hold on
Some of you are making me tear up again. Thank you for the kind words.
@patoh3 I just did what I could. I’m trying to think of how to explain something without it feeling disparaging about him when it’s not my intent. I tried to help a bit more if anything, but he made his own decisions regarding a lot of things. All I would want anyone to do for me is honor my wishes respectfully, so that’s what I did with him and this situation.
Thanks everyone. He’d want nothing more than a HAWKS victory against Missouri. We had some good final words several days ago, it really helped me be at peace knowing he was. Last few days were more or less nonverbal.

FSU back??? @BeddieKU23
At least for 1 game. One can only hope
Was fun to see, even if it isn’t as fun to hate on Bama in their current state. I’ve kind of adopted them and Wisconsin as tertiary teams knowing that them winning brings some fellow bucketeers some joy. As long as neither is playing KU or Michigan.

@BShark yes O-line struggled in short yardage, that’s part of the reason I want the option back. Any new on Williams? I like him and JD running the option
I haven’t read anything. I will say it didn’t look great when he got injured against Fresno.
OL is a real concern at this point. Interested to see how they hold up against better comp.
@BeddieKU23 KU is believed to be the favorite for Ariza at this time.

Taylen Kinney is one to watch I think now. Not saying we land him but I think Coach likes him.
Still really hard to see him leaving the state of Kentucky but as @FarmerJayhawk always says, KU puts on a helluva visit.
Jeff Grimes, still bad at coordinating football.
@ImmunoHawk Those accounts often get taken down and have to switch names etc
Personally I am more than good with Mecole and Skyy Moore never playing for KC again.

Chiefs traded for DT Derek Nnadi from the Jets (exchanged 2026 6th and 7th round picks). Got him back after he was signed as a FA last spring by NYJ. Good move!!!
The only weird part is they probably could have done so without having to trade if they believed he was getting cut. Happy to have him back though.
@dylans completely agree. It somewhat comes with the territory when you have to give a qb a top contract but it can be motivated by great drafting
@nuleafjhawk Unfortunately they never will because it still makes them money
@nuleafjhawk just abolish the preseason at this point
Nothing but good things being said about Kohl. It’s early though, we will see when games start.

Being reported now that Chase Buford should be taking a job with the Nuggets.

For me the question is whether Bill Self can work the ol Bill Self magic on this group. Historically he is good at getting the most out of his teams but that sure as hell didn’t happen these past couple seasons.
The last two years did have quite a bit in common. The hope is that it was just a rotten core. I still think bringing in Hunter was ultimately a mistake but alas.
@Jhawk69 said in KU Roster for 25-26:
@BShark I agree for the most part. I will also note that KU’s defense last year was a paper tiger. Sure, they could completely stiffle Cincinatti and Arizona State to inflate their numbers, but any above-average offense absolutely carved them up at will. They allowed Baylor to score 60 points in one half! They gave up an open three in pretty much every “must stop” situation too.
As bad as the BYU game was the Utah game was absolutely horrific as well. Just many cases of them being horrific defensively.
@dylans I think unless we see some kind of major change this is the future of college athletics.
@Jhawk69 I think it’s worth giving the team a shot, we largely have new players.
I would take KU’s roster over Arizona. I believe a lot of Dylans being down on the situation is not believing in Flory in general. I know him and Approx went at it on this subject before. I am somewhere in the middle with him but I think it’s very much within the realm of possibility that he proves to be a better all around player for the team than Hunter was. Defense can be hard to measure. I know last year’s team graded out well on that end but I believe that is largely due to Bill’s genius. That team was not getting a stop when they needed it. I suspect this team will be better on both ends if things play out right. This roster has quite a bit of positional length and should be getting after teams, attacking the ball to generate turnovers and thriving in transition. This team should actually play fast again, which was impossible to do with Hunter. As far as the offense in general, I know the KJ/Juan horse is long dead, but the impact of not playing a complete non-shooter and an unwilling shooter will open things up tremendously. That’s the thing some people (not saying anyone here) don’t understand about this topic in general. Jalen Wilson in the title year shot 26% from three. The important thing is that he was a willing shooter that had to at least be guarded out there.
TL;DR I’m going to believe in this team until they give me a reason not to.

what’s the dr say? I’m so sorry!
Not really any answers at this point. Is what it is, just have to try to keep living. Last few days mostly better again but his weight is down a lot since the blockage. Needs to try and get it up but eating potentially makes him feel much worse so he often does not want to.

My opinion, JD6 should be sharper. I expect meltdowns to not be so horrific. I think the offense gets back its mojo.
7+ wins
7-8 and I’d be pretty happy. More than that OR one of the wins is against KSU and I’m thrilled.
@BShark what was the medicine? if the medicine was a pain pill/narcotic, it is to help lessen his pain with a potential for constipation, which could cause another blockage. He should have been given something along with it to prevent the constipation side effect. If he was receiving the pain medicine while hospitalized and was having normal BM’s once the bowels started working again, then the likelihood of a blockage is low. You should have been told about that potential side effect though before being discharged. Unfortunately, discharge instructions, too often, are not as thorough as they should be. This occurs because of staffing shortages, staff apathy, and the patient wanting to get out of the hospital hours, if not days, before it occurs.
He did not receive the medicine until after discharge as far as I know. Though I will say I don’t know exactly what they were giving him while he was in there. I’m doing what I can but I can only stand being in and around hospitals so often, that I wasn’t there a ton during those 10 days. I did visit several times and talk to the nurses etc… This is stage 4 colon cancer so normal bms don’t really exist anymore.
