@BShark Seen the Jossell kid play AAU basketball this summer, definitely not a KU basketball type of player, the kid is 5"8 at best and had a very hard time getting his shot, I really don’t understand this one !

RE: Ty Berryposted in KU Basketball / Other NCAAM
@jayballer73 I really thought that it would be Michigan, but they do have a lot coming in
-
RE: Ty Berryposted in KU Basketball / Other NCAAM
Has Ty announce yet where he’s going to to play at next year?
-
RE: Ty Berryposted in KU Basketball / Other NCAAM
No , I think because Berry was already committed, by the time that they got ready to offer, that’s my guess
-
RE: Ty Berryposted in KU Basketball / Other NCAAM
@Woodrow what I’m hearing from a very reliable source is they were waiting for Caleb Love, KK kid, and Bryce Thompson to see what they was going to do, before they offered Berry, once they found out that Love was going to North Carolina, then they started to contact Berry more, even invited him to late night last week. That’s what I’m hearing from a very reliable source

RE: 2020 Recruitingposted in KU Basketball Recruiting
Does anyone know if Bryce Thompson came down this weekend or not, I didn’t see him at late night on Friday
-
RE: Ty Berryposted in KU Basketball / Other NCAAM
I’m hearing that Ty Berry is going to announce his decision this week. I’m hearing that it is down to 3 Big 10 schools, Minnesota, Michigan, and Northwestern. Don’t know why KU struck out on this kid , A 6"5 combo with exceptional skills, shoots 3s from NBA range, not to mention that he’s lives in Kansas.

Does anyone know or not if Bryce Thompson showed up to late night. I don’t think that he’s here

RE: Trouble?posted in KU Basketball / Other NCAAM
Sorry, but I think that we are going to get hit hard, the NCAA is trying to find a blue blood school that they can make an example out of, and we just happened to be the one. They will never go after one of the blue bloods that are sponsored by Nike ( North Carolina, Duke, or Kentucky ). Really sad…

RE: 2020 Recruitingposted in KU Basketball Recruiting
Yeah it’s a shame that we might lose Ty Berry to the Big 10 ( Northwestern, Minnesota, Michigan ) this kid can really play , he will be playing in the league someday, mark my words…

In state talent that KU should go hard after now… Ty Berry… 2020… Sunrise Christian Tamar Bates…2021… Piper high school Grady Dick…2022… Wichita Collegiate Mark Williams…2022… Bishop Miege All of these kids are high major D1 ballplayers, that are getting highly recruited, I will hate to see them get out of the state.

RE: 2020 Recruitingposted in KU Basketball Recruiting
I said it before and I will say it again. We need to start recruiting local talent now! There are enough high caliber in state and local kids that are damn good and that are 3 and 4 year players that Bill can work with and develop, because we are not going to get the 5 star or even the 4 star players now
-
RE: 2020 Recruitingposted in KU Basketball Recruiting
@FarmerJayhawk Yeah it’s only a matter of time before he makes it official
-
RE: 2020 Recruitingposted in KU Basketball Recruiting
I hope that we can offer Ty Berry soon before he commits to Northwestern, Minnesota, or Okie St
-
RE: 2020 Recruitingposted in KU Basketball Recruiting
We need to start looking at our local kids now, there is still a lot of good local talent around

RE: 2020 Recruitingposted in KU Basketball Recruiting
Rumblings??? Caleb Love to North Carolina…???
-
RE: 2020 Recruitingposted in KU Basketball Recruiting
Yeah I wouldn’t be surprised if we lose Bryce Thompson and Caleb love now,
-
RE: 2020 Recruitingposted in KU Basketball Recruiting
Yeah, Bryce and Tre are really good friends, that’s another thing in Oklahoma favor
-
RE: 2020 Recruitingposted in KU Basketball Recruiting
I’m hearing rumblings that Bryce Thompson has Oklahoma as his first choice and is probably headed that way.
-
RE: 2020 Recruitingposted in KU Basketball Recruiting
@HighEliteMajor I heard from reliable sources that Mizzou is Loves top choice followed by NC
-
RE: 2020 Recruitingposted in KU Basketball Recruiting
@Marco I haven’t given up on The Berry either, Hopefully we can keep our in- state kids… I m hearing that Michigan likes Berry too now.
-
RE: 2020 Recruitingposted in KU Basketball Recruiting
No he’s not at Sunrise, I m hearing that Ty Berry is the point guard up there, so I think that Harris is at KU but he’s redshirting this year
-
RE: Ty Berryposted in KU Basketball / Other NCAAM
Yeah I m hearing the same thing out of Houston. They said Ty is playing the best out of all the guards there, he had 20 pts and 12 rebounds earlier from the point guard position and just dropped 30 something in his last game tonight in front of about 60 coaches that was there watching him tonight…

RE: Ty Berryposted in KU Basketball / Other NCAAM
@BShark That is so far from the truth. I heard from a very reliable source that Berry is just the opposite. Strong work ethic in the gym lifting and getting shots up , have you seen his body lately the muscle mass that he has put on since his freshman year, He is also a very good student and an exceptional person.

RE: Ty Berryposted in KU Basketball / Other NCAAM
Just got done watching Ty Berry play live. All I can say is WOW!!!
-
RE: Ty Berryposted in KU Basketball / Other NCAAM
For all of you guys in the Kansas city area both Ty Berry and Bryce Thompson are playing in overland park this weekend and could end up playing each other on Saturday night or Sunday in the championship. I would love to see them to square off against each other
-
RE: Ty Berryposted in KU Basketball / Other NCAAM
Yeah I agree . I think that Berry can play a wing or be a really good combo guard, hes 6 "4 now and still probably going to grow an inch or two
-
RE: 2020 Recruitingposted in KU Basketball Recruiting
@Crimsonorblue22 I bet that his Newton coach was not happy at all. But great situation for Ty he gets to play with the #5 kid in the country in the 2020 class,. Also heard that Tom Izzo was a steady presence at Tys games this past weekend in Atlanta, along with Michigan University.
-
RE: Ty Berryposted in KU Basketball / Other NCAAM
Ty Berry is transferring to Sunrise Christian Academy for his senior year.

-
RE: Ty Berryposted in KU Basketball / Other NCAAM
I heard that Ty was at the under armour camp at IMG in Florida over the weekend and had a very good showing, was one of the top players there. Also he hang out with JRE . I bet that Jay Wright and Villanova will be coming for Ty really soon

-
RE: 2020 Recruitingposted in KU Basketball Recruiting
@BShark I saw him in the Under armour tournament in Kansas city last month, a lot bigger than I imagined he would be ( about 6" 4 with muscle) nice handles and a very smooth stroke from the outside, I was highly impressed !
-
RE: 2020 Recruitingposted in KU Basketball Recruiting
I definitely agree with that assessment, but I don’t know if Berry is totally committed to KU either.
-
RE: Ty Berryposted in KU Basketball / Other NCAAM
Does anyone know how many D1 offers does Ty Berry have?
-
RE: 2020 Recruitingposted in KU Basketball Recruiting
@Crimsonorblue22 I haven’t heard anything solid, but I’m hearing that he is thinking about going to prep school for his senior year
