Hey Jay! I’ve got an answer. The limit spends on how many players you have on scholarship. The limit there is 85. The total roster limit is 105. So if you’re full, you’ll have 85 scholarship, 20 walk-on. If you have 75 scholarship, you can have 30 walk-on. We’re going to be VERY close, if not right at 85 so probably no more than 20 walk-ons.

Dude you’re so right. This staff had a plan and is executing perfectly so far. I’m still a year away from saying it’s a real success because we have to nail the 2023 HS class. I bet they’ll try for 18-20 HS kids and the rest transfers.
Man… there’s no way of knowing that for sure but Gill at the absolute latest. I would guess probably 2007-8. Beaty got close one year on the back of JuCo’s + blueshirts but that went belly up pretty quick so idk if he ever got there.

Thank you so much , I knew you would be able to help me out - -It just looks like Coach is wanting these Kansas kids to know that KU has not forgotten them and it’s not like previous Coaching staffs. There are some real diamonds in the rough here and I think the way Coach handles his recruiting he is fully aware. - I can’t say enough about how much respect I have for this guy. - I think we got a real steal with him, and think this IS our guy that’s going to straighten this mess out. - -EVERYTHING he has done and or approached is just I dunno seems class , smart - -think we got us a really good staff - hope he sticks

Ok so I was waiting to report this but KU is in on both twins. Both DE’s from North Texas. Very good players. From an absolute A+ source at UNT there are some maturity issues and a helicopter dad. To put how much better the pass rush could be next season between these two and Phelps - we had 15 sacks as an entire team last year… LL trying to build a defense through the transfer market and I am HERE for it.

I’ll trust the staff’s process. They offered so they must feel like they can integrate them into KU’s culture. So I’ll say sure let’s give it a go.

Right? Locks down both DE spots for the next 3 seasons. Plus there’s Withers, Alexander, et al for more depth.

Yeah, he decommitted from Washburn a couple days ago. Looking good for the good guys.

Like I looked at Kunz’s Hudl profile and sort of scoffed at the 4.53 40 time. But then I watched the tape… He probably is. Guy can scoot.
Really impressed with his ability to rollout to the left and throw.

Dilworth is signed, so ends the HS class of 2022. All that’s left are a handful or so of portal spots. To hazard a guess looking at the spring 2 deep, probably S, DL, OL, WR in that order. The only targets I know about right now are the twins from UNT. Far too soon to tell on the others. I think we’ll see a pause on portal entries for awhile.

If anyone is interested there actually is a pretty good article off TOS written by a beat writer from Texas and the thread is Early Big 12 Preview. Very well written , put together talking about KU ( a Texas beat writer wrote this ) - - lot’s of good things written concerning KU and Coach - talking about KU strengths - -Weakness , who they had brought in - - talking about Jalen - -had several responses on the article saying they wish this article could be forwarded to our local beat writers let them see how he did detail and such - -well written they wondering why our local beat writers couldn’t written something like this about KU - - lol - - check it out - -pretty sweet article

Something I feel I think getting these 10 Super Seniors back is Huge. - Nice lift/bonus for us , as there are some that has played a big role and gives us needed experience. Malcolm Lee played in all 12 games - - Earl Bostick played in all 12 games I think myself getting Bostick coming back is Big ( experience leadership for the younger guys. Then Caleb Sampson played in 10 games thinks he also is big , -then having Takulve Williams , Sam Burt & Eddie Wilson can only help.
Not gonna lie - - I’m stoked I think Coach has sure pulled the right strings , done thIngs right - recruited well and hit the portal huge and gotten key guys to commit to the program - I think were getting out of this hole. - - ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

Ok , looking for your insight again Farmer Just read from TOS and was posted by Swain like 3 hrs ago , I don’t reconize the name but not sure if he is a defection to the portal or ONE we are getting from it. Hope you could help.
Kids name is Johnqual Lewis a CB from Hialeiah Flordia - -He is a JR - so do you know - is he a departure - -OR an Arrival ? - Swain posted and it just showed him and a KU decal so not sure HELP
