According to the KU Men’s Basketball Facebook page, we’re about to get a commitment from a kid named Light Mitchfoot. Seems like he’d be a solid option for a backup post position.

My sources are telling me that it’s a package deal with his friend Thris Ceahan.

Dang , wish this would of happened sooner. MacKenzie Mgbako the # 7 overall ranked player in the 2023 class is pulling out of his commitment to Duke. - All signs point to him re-opening his recruitment. We sure could of used him , would help answer our problems at the 4.He is a stretch 4 can shoot the 3 they say Mcdonalds All American. He will be the highest unsigned player - - Dam lol

You still make a very strong push for him at this point. He’ll likely be the best option to come available at the 4 spot and KU has a need and a lot of minutes to offer. If KU were able to somehow land this kid, Hunter Dickinson, and Primo Spears, that’d put KU as a top 10 team next season.

Looks like an elite shooter, but other than that there is a lot missing.

mgbako might visit. Seems like he was pretty underwhelming for his senior season, but at the nike hoop summit(a reasonably competitive environment full of nba scouts) he was great.

Yeah I think that’s why he’s in play, having that elite level shooting skill. Has size, athleticism etc. On the Phog it was mentioned by a very vocal poster there that he had talked with several that were mixed on him. The criticism about him not doing what coaches want him to do was troubling.
Personally I just don’t want another freshman on the roster unless we are replacing one of the 4 already on board with him.
Duke didn’t seem to fight to keep him at all once Filipowski returned, I’m getting bad vibes.
