Take it with a BIG grain of salt here but Corey Evans on Rivals is predicting KU might be a contender for
Deron Holmes 6’8 PF #37 ranked player from Montverde Fl. No substance to the claim there but interesting to note as he’s a guy I haven’t seen mentioned before.
Quick video scout, Can Shoot the 3, athletic, above average rim protector, would not want him handling the ball.

KU is not a contender to 5 star Harrison Ingram. Figured with no recent mention of him with KU

KU did not make Ingram’s final 6.

I think for 2021 we can sign five players, two spots already taken. Who are the other three? That all hinging, ofcourse, on whether we have a season. Let’s just say - hypothetical - that we have a season and with two spots already taken we still have 3 to give out (and that is another debate, who will leave early). Who do you think it will be? I never saw Clemence or Adams coming, so don’t ask me.

I’ll take Hickman, Bates, and Landers. Just guessing on Landers though. I really don’t know what we’re doing with bigs.

We wouldn’t have a shot at him anyways even if we did need a wing. - -read the article why he de-committed from Louisville and he was quoted as saying the uncertainty of Sanctions and hearing about it and not knowing - -would be the same thing with us

Just to let everyone know - - I’m still here yippee. My whole computer system went whacko had to come up with a whole new username - -but ol Jayballer 54/67 not really alot going on anyways - -I’ll be gla when NLI day rolls around so we know who exactly we DO have in Football & Basketball. - - Going to have the usual de-commits in football I think- - BIGGEST one I wonder about is the Coleman kid is think it’s kind shaky - long time till Dec – hope I’m wrong

So, what are the flaws in Bates’ game? It seems to be a no-brainer that we try our asses off to sign him, but I’m not Coach Self or his staff. @FarmerJayhawk would there be a reason why we wouldn’t make a push?

Not really a shooter and has a lot of work to do on his body. A year at IMG should do him wonders.

Defense. Playing against good competition which the switch to IMG could mitigate. Typical 4 star prospect that doesn’t have elite skills

Well Dam , if this turns out to be fact , then we come up with a big fat Zelch in our recruitment of a PG for next year. After reading posts from TOS it’s sounding like were getting screwed in our recruitment of Nolan Hickman.
Post said that Corey Evans had changed his pick from KU to Kentucky for Hickman , and there was some other guy saying the same thing saying that Duke and Kentucky both had gotten into the picture - this would flat suck.
You can’t tell me that with the cloudy future that lays ahead of KU with the NCAA that it hasn’t kicked us right square in the jewels this Season & you can take it to the bank that these others Schools are just taking that fact and flat out running to the bank with that.
It would be so nice to have a Season where we could just focus on the game instead of having to worry year after year about the NCAA or the eligibility or other things with our players. Silvio , Cheick D. , Billy , Cliff to name a few- - When is the last time we had calm waters ? - -4-5 years ago maybe ? - - getting old real fast.
