Aidan Shaw- 4 star forward that was committed to Missouri. KU did recruit him
Julian Phillips- 5 star forward backed off his LSU pledge
Tyrell Ward- 4 star SF backed off his Xavier pledge
Bryce Lindsay- 3 star Combo Guard backed off his South Carolina pledge (regarded as one of the top shooters in the class)
Devin Ree- 4 star forward backed off his LSU pledge.

FSU was salty he didn’t commit to them initially and made it worse going to the Gators. Will be interesting to see where that one goes.

Allen is a 23 recruit. Another 5 star 23 recruit decommitted in Robert Dillingham from NC St. KU was also recruiting him to some degree

I was not impressed when I saw him. His HS team has hovered around .500 the last couple years. That doesn’t mean he is bad but it does tell you something.
I think there is a good chance he still ends up at Missouri.

I don’t think his rank matches his tape at all so I agree. I see tools of a guy who might be something to look at down the road once developed but he committed to Missouri so that says all I need to know. It seems like KU took a similar approach here. They obviously were okay with him going elsewhere.

Good point! I think it depends. If we were to take another one they’d be able to handle and score. The one area I’m a little nervous about next year is we don’t really have a dude who can go get his any time. Think more a 2/3 where Shaw is pretty much a 4 right now.
ETA: this is why I want the staff to go after Skyy. Won’t happen, but I really think they should.

A recent decommit perhaps to watch? Ernest Udeh’s High School teammate 3 star composite (4-star on 247) Riley Kugel, 6’4 athletic guard has de-committed from Mississippi St. Athleticism jumps out on tape, big guard that likes to get to the rim.

I like this current class a lot.
Udeh and Gradey are great fits for Self’s system. Rice is a very strong talent and Zuby has enormous potential that I think he can mostly get to.

Tremendous potential in the class. A+ athleticism across the board, big, length at each size, physically mature. Gradey is the most skilled followed by Rice. The two big’s I’m not worried about developing it’s just going to take time. But I hope all get to play next year and stick around long enough to become what we think they could be here.

Nike trying to get Scheyer one early and keep the flagship steady. Last title will have been 8 years ago with a roster that had 8 pros, 9 top 35 players, and a Plumlee (61) on it… Duke literally has to be handed titles.

3 of the Top 5 recruits for 22, and now 3 of the top 25 for 23… We’ll see what a 34 year old who’s never coached a game on his own can do. Personally I only care if Bill eats his lunch in game 1 next year. Send the message quick
