Ha… that’s a secret. But it isn’t inside an orifice or under hair. It is impossible to find, and I’ve made bets if anyone can find it and so far no one has. Then I show them, and they realize. The color of the tattoo is that standard blue/green. My wife looked twice, an hour each time, and couldn’t find it. Obviously, she knows now!
Funny thing… it actually fits me right. I’m lucky the tattoo artist was cool and helped me with the decision. One of those late nights in Amsterdam…

After I hung up my high tops (after knee surgery), my personality changed.
I went for long hair, all the way down my back, and for a while I went with a Dali mustache! I miss that thing… but it was a heck of a lot of work! I made my own mustache wax. On really hot days it went wild!
The mustache is long gone… many moons ago. But I still have a tail!
Still have one ear pierced from my days at sea.
I may be stuck on land… but I’m still a dry pirate! Still have a nice motorbike, too! I’ve had a motorbike continuously for the last 41 years! It used to be my only transport in Northern Europe. I loved riding in snow! Big boots and kicked my legs out… I could haul a$s in a straight line! People couldn’t believe their eyes… a motorbike flying through snow! Naturally, I had enduro tires.

I agree with all of the above. Though a short timer, he has shown the qualities we hope for in all of our players after his ups and downs.
But these issues still kind of jump out at me:
–35% from trey;
–34% from 15 feet to trey;
–shaky right hand dribble;
–almost no left hand dribble.
–not many assists;
–turnovers.
But to close on a high note, what I notice about Wigs is that he has a demeanor reminiscent of Joe Dimaggio, who I used to see in a restaurant in San Francisco from time to time years ago, when he was in his Mr. Coffee years. Like Joe, Wigs exudes a deep, unaffected confidence. He is very graceful. He has a kind of charisma rooted in his calmness. He doesn’t smile a lot but when he does it casts a lot of light.
If he ever is allowed to practice his jump shot, work on his dribble, especially his left hand, then I think his TOs will fall and he may then be able to broaden his court focus enough that he can make assists. A player with his athleticism, confidence, quiet grace, that also had the fundamentals of perimeter basketball knocked would become the Yankee Clipper of professional basketball. The NBA needs that after the long dose of in your face personalities.

@Crimsonorblue22 I have one on each shoulder. I’ll dig up a picture of them one of these days, because trying to describe them never really does them justice. There are long winded stories to go with them too…
I’ll do some shameless advertising though - the tatoo artist is named Jessie Hopeless and in my book - she’s the best!! She works at Exile Tattoo in Kansas City - just a couple of blocks from the KU Med Center. If anyone decides they want a tattoo - call now - she’s booked about 12 months out. It’s worth the wait.

@nuleafjhawk that would be cool to see. If I ever decide to get one, thanks for the info. Pretty sure Jaybate might take you up on that info and get a wiggins tat on his left bicep, or wigs shooting per cents.

I doubt wiggins is worried about a future job interview (and someone who would base a hire on ink better be getting ready to retire anyway!), but I agree that his bare skin says a lot more about his own self confidence than those dumb 3s Marcus Smart has on the backs of his fat arms.
Of all the OAD’s this year, I’m pretty happy with the ones Self landed.

I’m not too fond of tats myself, but if I were going to get one about Wigs, I would wait until he breaks 40% for a season.
40 is such an aesthetically pleasing number for a bicept, don’t you think?

@DanR Whether you agree with it or not, tats don’t go over well in the business world. There are plenty of people who are not close to retirement age that would not hire someone or want someone to work for them that have tats. If you are in a job where you have contact with people outside of your particular company, or if you are in certain types of professional jobs, you might not get a job because of tats. Of course, some are not noticeable.

@HighEliteMajor Wiggens had me at hello, when he announced his commitment to Kansas at his school with ONE hometown reporter there. If we are going to praise the tattoo-less, let’s also give a shout out to Ellis, Lucas, and Seldon! Maybe starting a trend? Probably says a lot about their homes. Having said that, there are lots of KU players that I have loved that were covered in tats: Robinson and Releford come to mind.

Tyshawn Taylor was covered in them; I guess I had not really noticed them on TV. He did a signing In Overland Park and I was surprised how many he had and also how skinny he was in person.

That was a real nice read. I never thought you would admit it. I think that’s great. For me, Andrew Wiggins had me at hello. There is nothing selfish about this young man. How could you not like him? He made a well informed decision to attend KU and appears to have enjoyed every moment! He is the type of player we need. He must be game planned for, and even then, he is hard to stop. You can’t tell if he has scored 14 or 40. He is a special young man.
