Tech has a good defense. Duke has a very good defense too. It’s important for Tech to execute on offense and not turn the ball over. That way they keep Duke out of transition and make them score against their half-court defense.
I think Duke will win by 10. Hope I’m wrong. Do everyone in college basketball a favor, tortilla bois.

Should be a good test for both teams. Other than the pasting of UK in the first game of the season, the two other games Duke played agains ranked team were a 6 point win over Auburn and a loss to Gonzaga. It will be Tech. #1 ranked defense against Duke #2 ranked offense.

@KirkIsMyHinrich i think Dook will be freaked out by the Tech defense, a little like we were the first time we played them last year. I’m going to call for an upset, as I have the Red Raiders winning by 2.

I just think in the end run it all comes down to Duke having more Athletes - -it’s just hard to go against Williamson & Barrett the other one that can just drain those three’s -think it’s just going to be to much. - -Now yes it’s on a neutral floor that will help some - -even Duke’s students on Christmas break so might not be to bad -yet I still could see this as up to a 15 point defeat. - - ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

Absolutely. It will tells us how much of an obstacle Tech will be in the Big 12 and also tell us if Duke will run over its ACC opponents or if teams like UNC and Virginia will also contend.

That’s the 4th offensive charge called on Duke. Duke is getting Duked by Tech and I love it.
Also, Coach K shouldn’t be allowed to complain about charge calls.

15 turnovers for Texas Tech but held Duke to only 28 points at halftime. So weird.

When Tech had an 8 point lead and then turned it into a 5 point lead, the foul count in that sequence was 6-2 in you know who’s favor.

Tech gave them a good run, but they just don’t have enough offensive options to challenge a good team. Their ball handling was terrible.

Tech is going to give KU a lot of trouble this year. They are one of the best defensive teams I’ve see all season.

Down the stretch Tech couldnt come close to finding a basket. That was unfortunate. I thought they had Duke on the ropes when they broke it open start of second half. Zion Williamson reminds me of a cross between Wiggins and Doke. He has Wiggins’ completely useless whirling dirvish spin move with Doke’s body.

@jayballer73 This is a good group of players. This a deep team with lots of seniors. Constant substitution keeps them fresh, out of foul trouble with zero sign of less focus or design. Great job by Coach Schneider.

Tech could be our biggest competition in the B12 again this season. They guard as well as anyone in the country but they will struggle to score at times as they did down the stretch last night vs Dook.

@kjayhawks yep. I only started watching at the last six minutes, but Tech couldn’t do anything when Duke started actually playing defense. That and when they hit a few threes. You could just tell the game was over.

It now appears that Tech will be our biggest threat…especially with Wade out for awhile. Beard has done a heck of a job down there.

I was able to watch the entire game. Really good game , Tech Is real , we better be ready to lace them up. - -Defensively they do really good at tking the charge - -not just one guy , but seems like the entire team takes a charge really well - -get’s really good position.
Funny thing kind of took a little Duke turn when what a surprise the ref’s made a couple of ridiculous calls. - -One was so blatent - with about 16 minutes to go - -Duke had made a couple of baskets stating to work their way back - -Tech point guard little past half court and the Jones kid for duke takes the ball away and of Course Vitale trying to see if he could possibly bury his nose even further up Duke’s ass yelling and babbling- about with his typical - -OHHHHH - - OHHHH - - OHHHH what great defense BABY. anyways he takes the ball and scores.
Thing is great defense? - -on that play the refs had to stop the game for a minute afterwards cause the Tech point guard had to leave the game and get his face tended to - cause he was bleeding - -but yet that was Great defense - -no contact? - -clean steal? - -ya OK the Tech guard just hit himself in the face right? - -just one of some questionable calls in the 2nd half

Dang @wissox The OU Northwestern game went into overtime. Could’ve been a fun time. I’d join you, but I’m not driving 13 hours to watch OU play!
