Does anyone have any idea why the Big 10 is throwing some conference games in this weekend in the middle of the non conference schedule? I know they are playing more conference games this year, but it doesn’t make sense to me to play a couple this early then resume non con then back to conference games…
Regardless there are some good Big 10 games this weekend.

@Woodrow Big10 getting into Friday night ball this year as they go to a 20 game schedule. I like the 20 game schedule, I don’t like Friday night games. They played some early December last year too, but that was because their conference tourney was a week early.
I kind of like the games now. They just got through holiday tournaments and then the ACC challenge, so it’s been a couple of weeks worth of good games. I’d much rather watch a league game than see MSU play the other MSU, that is Madagascar State University.
Tonight should be a pretty good game in Iowa City as the Badgers take on the freaking wannabe haw haw kies.

Mercy Boys & Girls , Kentucky’s half court & transition defense is just plain - GOD AWFUL – I mean Awful. - UNC Greensboro is driving through their Olay defense like a knife through hot butter. - Kentucky like the like announcers have said multiple times look totally lost/confused.
UNC Goldsboro has this kid Alonso- -this kid is unreal -you give him a half foot and he will drain it on you. Team is legit Jr’s & Sr’s - -he averages 19 a game -has 19 at the half - -Kentucky down 40-37 at the half. - -in all reality- - have watched Kentucky plenty already this year and to this point of the year they DO NOT - -impress me. - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

Why? Because that’s not how it’s always done? The league is forcing teams to strengthen their schedule by playing more games. If you’d watched UW-Iowa last night you’d have enjoyed it. Purdue/Mich today good stuff too.

Absolutely not. Many of my positions about basketball show that I welcome change when I think it is good. Two extra games is totally fine, imo. It’s just the fragmentation of having two games now, then going back to the non-con. Just put them in with the rest of the conference schedule and start conference play a bit sooner.
Fwiw I am also not big on the Big 12 SEC challenge being in conference season.
