No NCAAT bid seasons okay? Jay has some of those. Not saying the goal shouldn’t be a title. Before his recent hot stretch, he had a couple hot seasons but lots of mediocrity and double digit loss seasons. Jay has had two 3 year stretches at Nova where if Self had them at KU people would be asking for his head. Let’s see if he can sustain an elite program.
I guess what I am asking is would you rather have Jay Wright than Bill Self? And I don’t think it’s an absurd question.

Nova SHOULD win their next 7 before playing KU but who knows now. They play in a joke conference so they can easily still make the NCAAT this year. They SHOULD.

My niece just graduated from Furman. They’ve beaten half of last years final four this year because last weekend they knocked off Loyola.
Ethan Happ is now the all time rebounding leader at Wisconsin.
Give me Jay Wright and his 2 of the last 3 years championships at KU of course. That’s what it’s all about.

i wish that some of you hadn’t pissed off a certain conspiracy theorist ( ShoeCo). He would’ve written a novel about Dedric being under MK Ultra mind control, which is why he donked out of his last two games.

I think if we had 2 NCs in 3 I probably wouldn’t care if a few down seasons proceed it. Maybe Robinson-Earl changes his verbal lol. It doesn’t bother me to see a 5 star sit, I wish Bill would do it at times. Roy was famous for benching all 5 guys regardless of who they were if they started with no hustle and energy. I always liked the idea and most the time it worked out.

@kjayhawks Self sat Bragg, Alexander and Diallo all for significant periods of time, all being relegated to irrelevance at times. Oubre took a while to actually become a regular starter.

Was watching Indiana and Arkansas game. Interested in seeing Romeo. He got his points but not impressed w their offense. Reminds me of AZ - must run in the family. Neither team looked good. No offensive plays for Romeo - no sets or isolation for him. BS knows how to scheme his talent and his team strengths - eg Doke. I get why he chose IU, but he’s not playing for a winner. Lots of standing around on the wing. No motion. But he is good.

Watched most of San Diego State vs Duke. Lots of frustration on the faces of the SDSU players for fouls on minor stuff. Duke is good and free throws didn’t win the game, but there wasn’t much continuity.
Note: seems like every game today, the big men were setting screens with legs wide apart, but no calls…

I just said UK is worse than KU defending the 3. If not for all that height VMI could have won. UK will be killed by competent teams that can shoot the 3.

I don’t care that much except for a strong big12 is good for KU. There have been 3 total head scratching calls that has Walton, normally an arizona supporter baffled.

Interested to see Duke and Auburn getting ready to tip. Auburn is a top 10 team so hoping to see a close game and how Duke responds to that.
