@BeddieKU23 @jayballer73 Wur looks REAAAAAALLY good. Like, my goodness gracious good. Probably would start as a SO. I would be very excited if he ends up a Jayhawk. From a basketball point…it’s possible he would be my favorite recruit of this class.

I would pump the brakes on Wur just a bit. Had someone tell me he’s basically Moulaye Niang with a much higher ceiling at this point.

Don’t get me wrong, he has a chance to be good, but like Fran says, he’s two years away from being two years away. Maybe not quite that long, but you get the gist.

@FarmerJayhawk Well, he would at least have a full season before potentially even needing to see the floor. I’d love to have Danny back for bigs…beating a dead horse there I know.

Seems like more and more freshmen have someone from their posse in their ear about guaranteed playing time, guaranteed starter, OAD, NBA ready and such. Kids turning down offers because they might have to sit and grow their skills or … (gasp)… redshirt!

@Gorilla72 To be fair about RS’ing, Bill never asks kids to do it. Leaves it up to the kid which is why we see so few at KU.

Makes sense. Nothing out there that can impact this years team. Might find a mid-year worth taking but who knows.
4 spots open regardless- 3 seniors + 1 open.
Dotson, De Sousa & Agbaji could have decisions to make next year. Safe to say Dotson is gone, Silvio is a wild card. I think we get year 3 from Ochai.
So I’d imagine the staff has 5 spots to sell

As far as recruiting I think the only must get is a high impact PG. Bill seems to know this based on recruiting. Won’t complain with other impact signings but anything else would be gravy and depth.

Definitely. We can read the tea-leaves with all the PG offers out there that we are definitely after an instant impact guy.
We should be able to land someone that can play immediately with the success of Dotson.
I need to see how this years roster plays out before I go all in on needing an elite PG. I’m a big believer in McBride. I’ll take 3 years of him starting if he’s as good as I think he is.
We have post needs. Will be interesting to see if Jalen Wilson is going to be a guard/wing or 4. That probably is a big part of the recruiting strategy…

No doubt there. Oregon is going to be sneaky good. Really good shooting on the perimeter with Pritchard and Mathis, and a very good frontline with Juiston (if healthy) and Dante.

Also an academic thing involved. Oregon doesn’t start classes until October so he has more time to get everything finalized.
