Let’s not forget Howard had the scout against dook last year, where Self had one of the finest coaching performances I can remember from him. I agree that if anyone should go (which, no thanks), it should be Townsend. Remember Howard also got the Lawson’s via his connection to Memphis when he was lead on Vick. SMU connections and all that jazz.

@Crimsonorblue22 I think that Aaron Miles, as some have said, would be a great fit. Those Washington/West Coast ties are intriguing, to say the least.

He’s only landed 3 top 50 recruits, not especially impressive considering how long he’s been here at this point.
Norm and KT both have a better track record in recruiting than Howard does. Howard is KU’s weak link in recruiting.

If we count transfers, the number is 5 or 6. Dedric and Malik were pretty good here.

Looks like Georgia just dropped their 5th bag of cash off this cycle to 4 Star PG Wheeler. Former Texas A&M commit is deciding between them and Iowa St. Iowa St insider dropped a CB for Georgia so that sounds like a wrap.

Unreal what’s going on at Georgia right now. Tom recruiting 10x better than he ever did at Indiana and nobody appears to be batting an eye and it’s hystercal

Didn’t Braun grow an inch or two? I thought he was listed at 6-5 or so, and now is more like 6-7. I may be remembering wrong, though. That would be reason to bump him up.

24/7 was way behind the other services on them fwiw. These rankings feels about right. Both are still sub 100 it’s just that 24/7 had them 200 or lower in Braun’s case.
I’m seeing conflicting heights on Braun. Will be interesting to see where he ends up.

@FarmerJayhawk Miles and Manning (after Manning gets fired) - I want both. I don’t want Danny as a head coach but do want him for his recruiting and ability to work with big men, ditto for Miles with guards. Personally, I think our program has suffered since Danny left for Tulsa.

Danny was really good working with the Big’s for sure. - -Thing is and I would love if he came back - - BUT I just don’t see that happening whether he gets fired or not. - - ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

Dude is absolutely fantastic as a teammate. Truly unselfish. He probably wouldn’t mind staying on as a grad assistant honestly… Life in Lawrence, KS cannot be bad for Mitch.

I’ll be disappointed if that’s the case. He would be a great 3-4 year player that could develop under Self at KU. I hope they somehow still land him.

With Braun already in the fold, Grill was never really in play for KU. Good to see that he will get a shot at the P5 level, though.

Correct. KSU had this happen to them twice this cycle where the player went in league. The other being Braun.

@Hawk8086 @BShark K-State’s miss on Grill may have been due to Assistant Coach Frazier leaving to go to Virginia Tech. Braun committed some time ago, so it probably wasn’t a factor for him (unless he had some real good inside information).

Bill + the storied tradition of KU simply dunked HARD on Squeaky and their barn as I understand it. KSU or OU would have been the pick if KU didn’t swoop in.

Johnny Juzang will announce on Friday. He is going to Kentucky. It also appears now that Kentucky is going to land Jaden McDaniels a top 10 player in the 2019 class. Seemed like Washington was his leader forever, but Evan Daniels just put in his pick for UK. Pretty monster class for UK. 4 of the top 25 players.
