So Mady Sissako will be on Campus this weekend. 6’8 - - 225 pound Center listed Coach Self how football can be a recruiting tool hoping for a good turnout for the game.
Mady said that coming to United States that KU was his dream School. - - Yet doesn’t mean anything special just because it was his dream school , says he wants to go where they want him the most and where he fits in.
Mady is considered an Elite Shot Blocker. - A writer after watching Mady at a recent event - -writer for Cats illustrated which is Kentucky writer said - - - Mady was one of the most dynamic shot blockers he has seen. - -calling them Volleyball spikes – pinning against backboards and such - -Sounds like we could use him for sure - -talked about how he can bully his way to the basket
Ranked # 48 at the present up 31 spots in latest ranking - Already visited BYU - -Colorado - - Michigan State - - UCLA - And plans on working a visit to Memphis

I could be wrong but I don’t think that is what Farmer was saying - -I could be all wrong but I think that is who he is predicting will be some of his final schools - - -cause I knw Bryce is for sure interested in Okie St - -and is interested in KU - -some say that OU is even leading right now - -I think possibly Farmer is saying these will be final 5

I think KU, UNC, and Okie Lite are the top 3, not sure on the order. Earlier this summer it looked like it would be KU or UNC and he’d commit before school started, but now it looks like he’ll take 5 officials and decide around the early signing period.

Just a hunch. Visiting his “dream school” on a football weekend should be a good atmosphere and good visit for him. I don’t know whether they tried to get him to visit later (like for Late Night) or closer to the signing period so I’m just connecting dots that he might be closer to a decision and if the visit goes well might end in our favor.
Having seen the kid play this past year on TV I wouldn’t call him elite at anything. He definitely is in the mold of a Diallo or a Oscar Tschiebwe. He is a bit raw offensively but is active and gets up and down the floor, plays above the rim and can definitely alter and block shots at a very good rate. He’s definitely someone Self likes to have on the roster

I wish I felt more confident with Bryce for us. - - I think we have our work cut out for us with the Oklahoma schools - – Especially Okie State , even more with them then Lonnie BUT you never know.
Not saying we can’t and won’t get his commitment but just don’t have a solid feel as of yet anyways. Man things have sure swayed the other way we use to have not nearly as much problem having to sweat out who we gonna be able to get - -Now looks like we have trouble even getting players ranked middle of the pack to come - -have to really work our ass off for that - -I DON’T GET IT

Can’t say I care for the way this recruiting has played out now going into this 2nd year - -last minute scrambles and looking that way again this year - - can’t land or having trouble closing on the upper crust - and Now we can’t even get a visit from the middle of the pack players - -WTH. - - ( Got a feeling some other Coach’s doing a good selling job with this NCAA Scandal BS - and possible violations ) either that OR someone on this staff isn’t getting the job done on these kids - -either way this is beginning to suck - -and I do mean suck.

Could be we are quite stacked already with many possible returning players from this year’s team. Too many unknowns at this time, and higher ranked prospects want to start, and/or don’t want to be the 7th or 8th player off the bench.

Ryan over on the phog had a grim view of 2020 recruiting so far. Hearing crickets on what the staff feels confident in or even has a shot with. It could be all about nothing or spot on.
Very weird that Mady didn’t even follow through on his visit.
All the recent blurbs on Caleb Love are pro UNC.
Bryce Thompson isn’t ending his recruitment anytime soon.
I would be very disappointed if we are in the spring with no commits.
KU recruited at a very high level for a very long time under Self. There’s no question KU has been impacted by the FBI trials and this is the continued fall out. UNC went back to recruiting and landing the Cole Anthony & the Joel Berry’s of the world as soon as the NCAA cleared them in the academic scandal. I fear KU won’t be back to that level until the NCAA does or doesn’t drop the hammer.
I’m not advocating for this but at some point Self may have to shake up his staff. He’s been extremely fortunate to have Norm & T but very few elite programs keep the same staffs these days for extended periods of time. Fresh blood may make a difference as well. Again not saying it should happen but its an option the man in charge can make if he felt recruiting misses were a result of that
