@FarmerJayhawk I tried to figure out what LFK meant for like a minute before finally giving up and searching the acronym via google. Maybe it’s because you seem wholesome, and swearing doesn’t bother me at all, but I was not expecting it to be what it was, even though it was very obvious.
Anyway… carry on.

So , from my perspective it looks like we are finally wrapping up out 2019 recruiting -should be finished tomorrow afternoon. - So , with that being said I wanted to put out my early Christmas wish for 2020 hoping we don’t have so many misses like this year and we can get started - we are getting a late start although know we have been recruiting some for it also. - -So here is my wants - would love to have - -thinking we will need PG ,SG , SF ,and Bigs - Sooo:
As for PG wants in order they would be : Nix - - / Love
As for CG wants in order they would be : Thompson- - / Mane- -OR you could flip - - can’t lose
As for SF wants in order they would be : Walker ( yes please ) - - / Abdur- Rahem
As for BIGS wants in order would be : ( Greg Brown - - Please , Please yes )- - / Todd ( - would love to get him for sure , but just don’t think it’s going to happen

I don’t think so. He’s a Raleigh kid. I don’t think he stays in NC. At least UNC peeps don’t think so.

@approxinfinity only one after Wilson. Moss has a financial aid package, at present, but once the season starts he’ll be given a scholarship.

Yep, I’m all for the league being better.
KSU and Baylor added guys recently as well.
With Cottrell, he isn’t a guy we would have wanted starting next year but has long term potential to be quite good.

Agree I think he’s a bit limited at the moment but with Development your looking at a solid P5 post player. I think KU can get someone a little more versatile and maybe ready to contribute earlier but that remains to be seen what will be available, interested, and will fit.

@BeddieKU23 Yeah he’s very springy and can immediately contribute on D. Offense at this stage is just garbage man stuff though.

@BShark Indeed. Time for the NCAA to acknowledge - as I have - that these guys (damn near all of the highly rated ones) are getting paid. The genie will not and cannot go back in the bottle… Hell, even the Olympics caved to that reality years ago.
Are there still student athletes? Yes (as this year’s class affirms, and I am all onboard - keep recruiting them!), but there are alot of tweeners who find themselves just at the cusp of being almost NBA ready who demand to have something while getting ready for the next stage. Getting rid of the OAD Rule will not solve the problem, if one even exists.

you know - -I think Huggy is going to be fine. - - - -he has ALOT - -and I mean ALOT of players being told to hit the door 0R transfer last year. - Made the players he did have left grow up gain experience fast. - He has a couple of nice pieces from last year. - -he had that guard , can’t remember his name and then the big guy right?
Think that is going to help him this year, I kinda like Huggy a little bit but let’s not go over board - I just think he might surprise a little this year. - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

@jayballer73 Agree with ya brother. As long as Huggins is there, WVU will compete in the league. Huggins like Self and Dixon coaches HARD. Sometimes that rubs kids the wrong way, and you have to do a purge.
Notice, we purged a bit too, but kept the good ones. I’m guessing Bill wasn’t too sad about Q and Charlie transferring out, ya diggggg?

I remember a few years back when we played WVU and Huggy gave Self one of those overly large polos to wear for the game so they match and Self said thanks but I’ll keep my suit and tie.
I do like Huggins though. He’s a good one to have in the conference

for sure - - Im’a digging - - like you said I think Huggy for sure pulls no punches, I think as a player one of two things - no in between -either you would love Huggy as a Coach - - OR you hate him - -hard nose - but pretty decent at what he does. - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

Hell of a passer… I worry about his size and athleticism at this level, but he definitely looks like he has that special feel for the game.

KU casts a wide net and this kid hasn’t been offered yet. I doubt he would be a take over the guard targets I have mentioned previously.

Nix is generally considered option #1 right on the board?? Still trying to get a feel of where his interest is in KU in relation to others

Thanks I haven’t kept up to date on him. I know he’s had a good spring/early summer so far. Figured he’d be a big commodity out there. Hopefully KU keeps pushing forward on him

Not sure if this was posted, but Bryce Thompson is taking a unofficial visit to UNC this week I believe and then is supposed to come to Lawrence. Wouldn’t be surprised if it isn’t us and UNC fighting for him until the end.

Charlie had some personal things going on that affected his play. Just wasn’t all there most of the year.

I think they want 2 of Nix, Love, and Thompson. I feel the best about Thompson today, then Nix, then Love. Could see us locking Thompson down at Late Night or whereabouts. Nix and Love might be spring guys.

Yup. The thought is he’s more of a 2, Nix a pure PG and they could coexist wonderfully.
