2020 Recruiting

Heard from a very solid source tonight that until the NCAA issue is resolved, expect recruiting to be “brutal.” Name if the game is develop, develop, develop. I get the feeling they’re more concerned about that than any sanctions.

I suspect the 2020 recruiting thread … might … slow … down. And we mocked the offer to the JUCO kid. I feel bad now.

Going to be really interesting to see just how many of these recruits that were coming for late night -NOW actually show up. - - -I have a feeling like has ben said , it’s not gonna be pretty.
There is one thing that stumps me though , I mean dam - - take a look at Arizona AND Louisville these two programs are both smack dab in this mess and really hasn’t effected their recruiting that much at all. - - Hell Ol Stump Sean was/is real close to losing his job - -that program when this is all said and done could STILL be in a pile of warm dog doo and yet , you look at his recruiting and doesn’t seem like he has taken hardly any kind of hit - - not like it’s effecting ours , every time you turn around another recruit is committing there or they are in the conversation for
Look at Louisville - - they have been in Big time trouble - - - has it really effected their recruiting like it seems to ours ? - - -don’t think so - - I think there are some schools really just bashing the hell out of us about all this - -still makes me think also that it might be time to do some house cleaning , bring in new blood on the recruiting staff, possibly some of these guys have become stale.
Something BESIDES this crap just isn’t adding up. With the success this program has had in recent past , there is just no way our recruiting should be this sucky bad - even with this NCAA BS - -I smell something and it’s not good. - - - ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

@jayballer73 It’s definitely going to get rough but then it will get better. Louisville is the perfect example. They got hammered and recovered.
This current class is not going to have any star appeal.
Edit: Louisville didn’t even have a recruiting class in 2018? Is that correct? Showing as no signees that year for them.

This is going to be a year of loyalty for the program - - - well I’m saying from a fans perspective in a way anyways.
You know - - I know these other programs fan base everywhere you go - -they see your team, wearing gear an such - -get ready for all the BS remarks , talking about how the program is scum - - dirty always has been always will be they will say , Can’t win without cheating and all kinds of cheap shots - – just sayin - - be ready.
Now I know , and it’s ok if people don’t agree but all I’m saying is - -that IF it turns out and to me it’s looking more and more that whether we want to accept it or not - - at least from the so called wire taps - - info that couldn’t be introduced to the case or whatever , but if that took place if money WAS exchanged for a players service to get them to come here - - - -if they played or not - - bottom line is - - money was given , there was supposed where Coach asking if we were good - -again is being said Coach offered to resign - -IF your not guilty of something , then WHY would you do that?
If I’m innocent of these allegations there is no way in Hell I would be doing something such as that -to me him making a statement IF he did just solidifies his guilt in this - -again I can understand why people might disagree with what I’m saying here - it’s ok if you do I understand. I’m just trying to look from all sides.
Again IF and it’s looking like as much as we don’t want to admit it from phone conversations and yes again I get it - it wasn’t permitted to be used BUT whether it was permitted or not sure sounds like from the phone tap – money WAS exchanged – Bottom Line - -that is a violation period - - plain and simple - -try coloring it any way you want - - by NCAA guidelines a player can’t receive money well a player/parents who the hell ever - -So IF we did - - the YES we ARE guilty - - the old saying goes - - you do the crime - - -then do the time.
I hate this crap - -getting to old for this , I would give my left Nad if for once - - just ONCE in an upcoming season that we could go through a season with eligibility issues with players such as Cliff - - -the other kid that we had to fight for eligibility - - -or Billy or whoever - - just ONCE not have to worry about some NCAA bullshit - just give me one more regular season without this crap before I kick the bucket - -I’m so dam loyal to these guys - -I take it sometimes to fa - - it really chaps my ass when people start talking crap on the program – so this year is going to be a challenge for me to keep myself in check - -seriously I take this TO SERIOUS I think - -it’s a sport , but I can’t help it I love my Jayhawks even though I didn’t attend KU been this way since as long as I can remember . – Bottom line is guys - - BUCKLE UP BOYS - -it’s gonna get worse before it get’s better - - time to circle the wagons and unite - - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

Well that’s no surprise, we sure know or should know , that no way he coming here with this NCAA BS coming at us.
It’s gonna be interesting to see exactly what we do end up with now this year, May even be a Juco - -Bill really gonna have to deep WAY DEEP look for those very obscure places for a recruit. - -May have to be a middle 100’s guy ranking - - I just don’t think we have a snow ball’s chance in hell of landing any kind of top 50 player with everything that’s going on right now. - - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

Couple tweets from Evan Daniels this morning that I found interesting. Sure KU is still considered a blue blood, but they are not acquiring talent any longer like one. Also, it looks like there might be a handful of top 25 kids taking the pro route this year…

Well, now we know why in full.
I mentioned this is the other thread, but I am intrigued to see Bill with a full blown bag of rocks.
I expect Mitch, Harris and Braun on the roster next year. After that I don’t even know. Garrett, Dave and Enaruna if we are lucky.

i’ll ask this again now the Lack of coaching Control or what ever the F it is - - this CAN lead to a year suspension - - if that indeed happens - - - Does Bill walk Away?

We could do a lot worse. Not going to complain since we know we’ll need bodies for whatever exodus happens after the season. I’m not confident despite his positive remarks we land him but who knows. This cycle has lost my interest

Agreed, they will come. Was more or less thinking nothing until the spring though and with Gethro 3 visits in already I’d imagine he’s signing this fall. A lot of uncertainty for kids to sign into at the moment.

Memphis is the school to watch with Gethro. In other news, UK is out for Isaiah Todd. No spots left there. I think he ends up overseas since his options here are pretty dry for what he’s… ummm… looking for in a school.

My hope would be that Memphis has better options.
