ROUNDBALL CLASSIC
-
First, shout out to my fellow Texans who are experiencing torrential downpours (here we got over 20 inches so far) and loss of property and/or lives. My highway out of my area had bridges washed out in 2 places - one heading west and the other heading east. They were working on the one heading east yesterday but we got an additional 2 inches and they were forced to stop work. The bridge my husband helped build over our low water crossing off the main highway was the only one to survive the torrent of water and debris. 2 people were swept away and still not found when they attempted to go across that bridge he built. I probably won’t get mail for months. The one heading west to Marble Falls is completely gone. From drought to flooding. I walked down to the lake this morning and I could still see debris and huge trees floating and my neighbor who lives lakefront probably has about 50 feet left before water enters her downstairs. She saw docks breaking loose and sent down river and watched whole marinas going by on Friday. I emptied a 6 inch rain gauge 3 times and know that I missed some. Our cove was completly dry before and now boats and docks are all mangled against the cliffs. Lake has risen at least 18 feet since Friday. There were waterfalls cascading down 90 foot cliffs at the state park across the lake from us.
Now, a good distraction for me will be watching some of our favorite players return to LFK and play some ball. I for one can’t wait.
Who you most excited to come back? Me Dok

@RockChalkinTexas you are whom I’m most excited to come back, and here you are! Also, DMack!

This is an event I’m kind of losing interest in because there’s so many players playing for alumni teams who aren’t alumni. Frank Mason isn’t playing for the KU team, he’s actually playing for the Syracuse alumni team because they essentially bought him.

@Texas-Hawk-10 she’s talking the round ball classic in Lawrence, I think. Hanni puts it on to raise money for cancer. This yr it involves KJ’s fam.

@RockChalkinTexas how are you watching it? Espn+?
