Other games 2025-2026

  • @kjayhawks

All we can do is hope for improvement and for the best. An opportunity for them to rise to the occasion against a good team. I will be pleasantly surprised if it’s a close game given what I’ve seen of both. If DP Doesn’t play or is limited once again it’s going to be rough for us fans…

  • @BeddieKU23 I still think we can grow into a solid team, we just have a long ways to go but heck the last few. years we beat a lot of high profile teams early because we were already what we were. While the others had a much higher ceiling

  • In the 90s we had “The Truth”. Now we have Nginyu “NGL” Ngala.

  • Texas A&M goes down tonight to UCF. Rylan Griffen zero pts on 0/4. Clemence has 12 in 17 minutes off the bench.

  • Coit dropped 19 points in a win over Marquette

  • KU women beat Missouri last night

  • Yeah Maryland so far a very good fit for diggy

  • A little context - Diggy is shooting 31% from 2 and 42% from 3. His effective field goal percentage is slightly lower than it was playing for KU last year (.512 vs .518). He is getting a little more than double the minutes and his stats (good and bad) have pretty much doubled as well. - I enjoyed Diggy, but if he’s getting 32.5 minutes per game something has gone wrong on the recruiting trail (Elmarko 👁️). I’m glad he’s getting his minutes, also glad it’s at Maryland.

Notably he was going to play for Buzz last year as well at A&M but some things with his academics were in doubt which is why KU ended up with him so late in the process. Definitely a good fit for Buzz.

  • Former Jayhawk David Coit finished with 41 points (8-10 3FG / 11-11 FT) in a win for Maryland tonight 😳 8/10 on 3’s, 11/11 on FT’s.

  • @Gorilla72 Dang! Go Diggy!

  • Wow, that’s amazing!

  • I liked Diggy last year he was a spark plug several times. Honestly would rather he stayed over Elmarko or Mari at this point he’s a much better player than both. It’s the same reason Ngala should play more IMO

In good years, Bill has a guy off the bench that can be that instant offense/3-point threat. BG, JCL, Moss, and Vick come to mind.

My last hope for this bunch is that some development will still occur as the season goes on. I think Rosario, Council and Dawson can all improve as they adjust to the speed of P5 basketball.

There is no reason Council can’t be an efficient 10 ppg just from fast break and straight line drives. He has to stop with the dumb 3s though. The guy absolutely cannot shoot.

Rosario seems like a guy who may find his stroke by the end of the season. He’s shooting .292 right now, and his misses are WAY off. I assume that a good part of that is just speed of the game and that by January he may settle in a little.

Dawson is shooting .263 from deep and is a career .363 shooter. I expect the ball to start going in. I, personally, think he has looked more playable the last couple of games and am hopeful he gets into a groove.

Unfortunately, this feels more like the '20-'21 season to me before the '21-'22 season. I think if you can get back Flory, Tiller and Rosario for '26-'27 you can probably build a really good roster around them. I think the incoming freshman class can be your depth. They will need to add a top tier PG through the Portal.

  • Guys I’m worried KSU could be better than us in basketball. That’s not good, we have a much large NIL but they beat us in the money sports 😳

I feel like KU would have gladly had him back coming off the bench, but he wanted a larger role than what he would get at KU.

Lol not even without DP @ the K-State worries. They barley beat Cal and Tulsa at home.

  • Diggy did the right thing IMO. Good for him

  • @kjayhawks

I think it’s way early for that position but the trio of Haggerty/Johnson/Bashir will not be easy to matchup against. Without Peterson, sure just about everyone in the Big-12 will be better.

They don’t play a ranked team until January so hard to put much stock into these early games. They can score but they can’t defend anyone either.

  • @BeddieKU23 I hope you are right one of the most embarrassing stats for Bill is 3-3 vs Tang

  • I really think e can match Norte dame AND Syracuse even without Darryn

  • Wow, Syracuse taking #3 Houston to OT. TNT just starting OT

  • Good night for the B12 - several quality wins - SJU, Creighton, Texas, Notre Dame, Syracuse

  • @stoptheflop

And without their leading scorer who’s out like Peterson.

  • Well KSU finally shut the hell up after playing two teams that people have heard of.

  • A B10 hasn’t won a NCAA title in close to forever, but based on early non-conference returns, that could change this season. B10 teams looking dominant in key non-conference match-ups. May not be quite the level of the SEC last year, but pretty close. Michigan and Dusty May scored big in the portal and the Wolverines look really good. Destroyed a good Auburn team last night, putting up 59 in the first half. Good match up with the Zags next.

  • @DCHawker Michigan St is looking better than in recent years so far. I’m not convinced Purdue is the best team in the country like they’ve been ranked so far. Maybe it’s memory of March failures past in which I’m still judging them. They have some really good wins including destroying Tech. Illinois is stout but not win it all stout.
