Bowl season this week has given us some regrets watching two teams we shoulda beat in high profile games. Illinois looked really good against South Carolina and of course Arizona St made me regret turning it off because I watched TV ALL DAY yesterday. That narrow loss to ASU was really impressive for us. It was blazing hot and maybe contributed a little bit to the late collapse, but that game was ours until 16 seconds left.

Im really hoping after this season the hype train that is SEC takes a little bit of a step back. All we have heard for years was the SEC was head and shoulders above everyone else. If you got 5th in the SEC you’d dominate the other power conferences with ease. Texas winners of 1 of the last 14 B12 championships makes the title game their first year and is the last SEC team standing.

Is K-State going to hang a national title banner in their football stadium if Ohio St. wins a national title?
-
@Texas-Hawk-10 you know they will claim it in some way
-
I think OSU spanks the hell outta ND personally. I hope not but OSU is just at another level this season.
-
Go Marijuana Leaves! Beat those Christmas Ornaments!
-
@approxinfinity I’m going to have you banned. OSU is more evil than KSU and Mizzou combined
-
@nuleafjhawk i dont like Notre Dame
-
@approxinfinity I don’t like Ohio State. A lot.

Found this interesting
The Irish’s helmets are repainted with gold paint for each game. The paint used is estimated to be around 37 troy ounces, which is about four level spoonfuls. The cost of the gold paint is estimated to be over $50,000 per game for 100 players. The cost of the gold paint for a season of 14 games is estimated to be around $700,000.

Will Howard led
K-StateOSU to a national championship. Talk about the one who got away.
-
@dylans Wow that’s some serious money to be painted on helmets. -Wonder how much it costs for ours with the Jayhawk decal on also

KSU lucky to not be down by 7+ right now. Rain definitely favors KSU. Hopefully a dryer 2nd half
-
Impressive fan support by both teams. So, now everyone on the ISt offense but the linemen have the plays on their left arms? Looks just like the instructions on my weed killer bottles.
-
Better team won. B12 going to be a dog fight
-
Marked as safe from the kitties running thru the big 12 like they said they would

If anyone needs something to hold them over until the football game starts, KU volleyball is currently on FS1 against Vanderbilt. KU dropped the 1st set, but has a big lead in the 2nd set.
-
KU Volleyball takes down Vanderbilt in 5 sets. This was Vanderbilt’s return to volleyball after 40 years.
-
Vanderbilt seemed to give up in set 5. Good first win for our new coach
-
@dylans leaving K-State makes you a better player. And person. But I still hate Ohio State too.
-
Both Iowa St and K State defense looks pretty stout. Offenses has some work to do
-
Exciting finish from the Stanford Hawaii football game. Hawaii’s quarterback, who was playing through injury and limping noticeably, led a game winning drive that was capped by a field goal by a Japanese kicker who had taught himself to place kick by watching YouTube in Japan.
-
@nuleafjhawk did you hear Avery’s dad got into a fight with his oldest son after the game? There’s video.
-
I thought the field in Dublin was very slick from the rain or maybe type of turf ? Perhaps the wrong cleats? Rain in Dublin. Who knew?

I never understood the desire to watch your team play in a cool destination - I usually don’t watch any tv when traveling, much less go to a game.
All I know about the KSU game is a bunch of people I know went - a cousin, my niece, my old bosses kid, and several other KSU fans. It sounds like they all had a blast in Dublin (up until the game of course). What a cool experience, especially for my niece who got to go with the band. She’ll remember that trip for a lifetime. Not the game, the trip.
