Completely unrelated. McNeely has everything to do with Storr and Griffen.

Two more in. Griffen has a wetter, Storr more of a scorer type.

Priority remains on Griffen and Storr. They would like both if it plays out that way, Storr more dependent on Furphy leaving which is still expected. Storr is going through the draft process so his situation is likely to be unresolved for a while. Griffen is expected to be pressed by KU big time in the next week. Visited in HS for an official visit so there’s an established relationship and he has seen KU. Hopefully he’s receptive this time around

As a Wisconsin fan as well, I think adding Storr would be a mistake for KU. High volume shooter with really poor shot selection at times. Doesn’t rebound or defend. He is stupid athletic and can score in bunches at times, but more often than not his big scoring games were due to taking a ton of shots. It’s no coincidence that Wisconsin went from a high level defensive team in 22-23…returned basically their entire lineup and added Storr…and became a below average defensive team in 23-24. He was also a total no-show in the tourney. Wisconsin was certainly better off having him this year, but it came at a cost.

Agree he’s a talent and there’s risk there. He reminds me of a young Terrance Shannon in that he could score in bunches but wasn’t a rounded out player yet.
Keep in mind he was only a Sophomore this year and made a big leap while having to be the guy. If he improves further in an even better program your looking at a guy that can replace Kevin’s offensive production with upside still. I think they are also looking at position versatility with him being able to play the 3 and 4.

Yes but he’s also going through the draft process so there’s no rush + Furphy hasn’t made anything official.
Griffen is the immediate guy they are after. They completed an in-home visit with him already. I’m expecting good news here.

Noticed Storr already transferred from St. Johns once. Is there a reason to think he wouldn’t have to sit out next year?

That rule is expected to be made an afterthought by the NCAA. Everyone is working under that assumption.

yes, I’ve been following here about Rylan - -hoping for good new. Now what I’ve heard is Texas is wanting to make a big push for him also with him being from Texasa I guess.-- -I don’t know personally I don’t really consider them being that big of threat - -could be wrong who knows lol

Now I sound like a gossip columnist, but AJ Storr’s girlfriend just committed to KU’s womens team. She played at Wisconsin, as did AJ of course. She’s a KC native so it’s kind of natural but this could help AJ decide?

2 main takeaways for KU
Only school mentioned with Griffen- made impression during in-home and is expected to visit soon (this weekend is the presumption).
AJ Storr- chatter remains that KU is involved and a “viable suitor”.

I think he’d drive Bill kind of crazy with his careless turnovers and poor decision making and indifferent defense, like in the 2nd half of an NCAA tournament game and your team needs a stop only down 6 and instead the entire JMU team runs by AJ and he gives up a dagger 3 pointer.

Oh that’s not good. ya had kin of been hearing some things about umm desire ? Plus maybe a lot of times on offensive end it was more of watch me–it’s me , me , me – not team but I-- just kinda what I ha heard, could be something like that at times

Heard something interesting the other day about Danny Hurly. If he hears a guy played at 3 or 4 different high schools he doesn’t want them. He wants guys who will stick around for a while.

So many names - - so many possibilities ,I’m ready to see some new faces commit–new blood.
One thing is becoming clear for sure looks like ,and that is Dickinson will be back. Not seeing or hearing anything on any other big men anymore , if we would of gotten anyone it would of been the big from Rutgers- -that’s not happening.
So is this saying we rolling with what we got-- the 3 Bigs ?- -I think so , which means Dickinson - - - Flory —and then I think Zach sticks and rounds out our 5 ----these two backing Dickinson this year.-- Better then last year no doubt.

Saw this evening where Coach Self had already made comments about Storr & Mayo-- - both had already signed their financial paperwork-- - brings up one question , why hasn’t Kugel signed his or why we haven’t heard anything on him signing his ? -He was our first commit, you would think he would of signed his also-- Hmmmm

Listened to about a 30 minute pod cast with Zeke , seemed pretty well informed , level headed. They ask him about how many Schools contacted him after he entered the portal - - -he said probably on the first day maybe like fifteen , ended up with like twent five Schools probably.
Then they ere talking about Juan and I know our Huge Juan supporter will love this but Zeke said he was really looking forward to playing with Juan, , said Juan Basketball IQ ( now say it isn’t so-- could it be ? - -surely not ) --but Zeke said Juan’s Basketball IQ is so high/ off the chart- - NO THAT CAN’T BE can it KUballin ?- - saying if your open he is going to find you — -shut up - -that can’t be right-- —not Juan, that scrub needs to be benched right Kuballin? – what the hell is Zeke talking about --that can’t be the same Juan, Zeke saying Juan will make other wings, or others flourish - -I just can’t believe Zeke would say such a thing like that about a scrubby bench player like Juan - - no way roflmao-- I’m gonna have to dig into this more, I must be thinking of a different Juan- -lol— give them HELL JUANDO. glad your back
