Peterson dropped his top 8. He’ll take some visits to see what other thing$ schools can offer but it would really be an upset for him to not be a Jayhawk

It’s becoming a circus with Peterson - The kid listed an original eight once already, Then he drops that lists and now list another eight & half of the original isn’t listed in his . Kentucky site listed in an article they think reason being is many of the original schools backed off Peterson was because they were under the assumption he was pretty much a lock for KU.
Now stil visiting USC , Ohio St -hell he even has K/State listed now in his list of final eight Schools. You talk about the ultimate kick to the Chones would be if Grape Ape ended up getting him to commit to them – holy crap-

@jayballer67 a bunch of those schools had coaching changes so I don’t blame him for reconsidering. Honestly it’s a pretty normal timetable for a college bound kid.

AJ Dybantsa, a 6-foot-9, 200-pound senior small forward from Utah Prep Academy in Manti, Utah, also is considering Baylor, BYU, Auburn, Alabama and North Carolina.

247 thinks KU is in a great spot for Peterson, as well as Sebastian Williams-Adams.
Isaiah Dennis seems to be one UNC may push on (NC native), they just offered so we will see if that one trends that way. Was hoping we would land him, very high on him. Might make sense that KU offered Tillery

This is quite possible. DP, Dybantsa, Meleek will have the best pro careers of the 25 class imo. Obviously not really going out on a limb here.

Was scrolling through of Goggle and they have various sport things and such. They had one this morning saying that Ku was favored to land top 2025 Guard and UNC favored to land Big Man- -so just goes along with your 247 story - - -

just got through listening to Peterson interview. quite the routine he goes through- - - 6:00 a.m. running up hills-- - running in the pool and doing defensive slides. - -Noon works on shooting, - -afternoon working on mechanics and defense— -night more running and shooting.- -seems vey level headed , mature for his age. - Already got that Collee frame , when ask what was one thing HE feels needs to work on and believe he said shooting off the catch - -pretty impressive interview.

In the end IF Peterson IF Peterson does end up committing here , would he be the highest rated recruit for Coach Self at KU ? — # 3 recruit.

The highest rated recruits of the Bill Self era are Andrew Wiggins, Josh Jackson, Josh Selby, Cliff Alexander, David Padgett (this is where an asterisk would go), and Xavier Henry. Darryn Peterson would be 3rd between Jackson and Selby if he committed. This is based the 24/7 composite ratings.

Well interesting , Eric Bossi just posted about 35 minutes ago that Nicko Bundalo— has added KU to his list of Schools , top 25 Big Man 6’11, he had cut his list and listed U Conn , UK , Mich St , N C , Ohio St , & Texas before he included Ku
when talking with Bossi he said he hadn’t had the chance to talk to KU over the summer but has now added because he hadn’t realized how much they were interested in me, and how well I would fit in their style.- -He has now had that chance to talk with the staff.
He hsa locked in his visits- - U Conn , Michigan St , NC , Ohio St , finalizing a visit with UK - -and sitting up his visit with KU , one interesting note he is transferring schools and will be team mates with Daryn Peterson , said he has played against Daryn and thought would be cool to be the dynamic dual- - if that happened would bode ell for KU , now not saying he lands herre but had good things to say about KU - --we will see

Would likely have Flory and him for 2025 then. Would love this just as it means getting back to Bill’s early years where he had a few years to coach up the bigs instead of the years with Cliff/Cheick where we see flashes, but not consistency.

I personally have no idea if we have any shot at this kid or not BUT is nice to know that he did after , boy him and Peterson would make a good duo cutting hist he added us on and is scheduling a visit , nice to know that the staff made a good enough impression that he is going to visit

Had some interesting stuff to say about KU showing a lot of interest. Would imagine if he visits this fall that we might have some momentum there but just spitballing some optimism at this point

you know, I heard it mentioned can’t even remember be a bit ago but some analyst’s was saying that and I reckon saying this off possibilities but he was saying Ku could end up having the # 1 recruiting class in 25.
Now I don’t think have any commits yet right ? - -So I’m guess projection about guys we re pretty involved with. maybe – Peterson - - -Sebastian - if hey perhaps land this Bundalo would go a long ways towards that. Were in on some good ones, not sure how many Scholi’s we are going to have, do you know ? - -Glad to see we are getting a visit from the kid, nice size

@jayballer67 plenty. Moore, Dickinson, Harris, Adams, Mayo, and Coit will all be out of eligibility. Storr likely pro. Plus, the limit will go to 15 (13 now). We’ll finish the penalty so we’ll be able to use 14. So we have only a handful of returnees. My guess, we add 9-10?

Mercy I’m sur w will be really active in the portal again , 3 possibly 4 high school , going to look different again for sure if it turns out to be the case

Yeah my guess is right around 9. Gonna be a huge class.

finding out today that Sebastian’s mom lives in Wichita , & Sebastian considers the Sum Flower State his State , & talked about how he loved the environment at KU- - Zagsblog said that KU was in a really god spot with Sebastian , Sounds good to me-- Also hearing w are in good shape with Tiller was said they think it’s down between Indiana and KU for Tillee

I’m hopeful you are right. His film is fun and reminiscent of some past guards billy Eugene has coached. We will definitely need some guards after this season and this looks like a good one to keep after. Any clue if others are a significant threat with him?
