Why is Cooper Flagg wasting his time coming here to visit ? - - - Why is our staff wasting their time entertaining Coope Flagg for a visit ? - -We all know he is a 100 % cinch for Duke.
I know he wants to get his free visits but Damm come on man you know, w know you not coming here

lol, well maybe a lil truth to what you say, after the Flory deal and then what was the kids name everyone thought was a sure thing coming here and where he land? - -Indiana wasn’t it ? - so true never say never BUT IF i was a guy that bet --I would take that bet all day long that he does not end up here compared to saying he is a Duke lock

To me, it’s not so bad if top recruits feel like they have to visit Kansas or they might be missing out, even if they really want to go somewhere else. A program with mystique has an X-factor.

I’m optimistic here and think he’s a bigger need then Flory. I still think Miami is a factor relationship wise, but their NIL is going belly up so wonder the impact there. Cuse surprises as a contender. Just don’t see a top recruit going to a place where a legend retires and you have no clue what future your walking into (rebuild). Hoping Bill again is the deciding factor in the recruitment

I think w are in pretty decent shape, but just never know with kids, Hope Coach can do it again. would be a sweet duo Flory and Bethea

5* Wing Liam McNeeley is visiting Kansas Sept 1-3

Was watching the 247 weekly Basketball recruiting this Morning and they were saying - -well Eric Bossi was saying not to Count the Jay Hawks out of the Cooper Flagg recruitment just yet, saying he thought it was kinda odd for the other Visits if Cooper was all in on Duke/ Duke lock. Thinks KU will have him on Campus the weekend of Late Night But he will be a Duke for their verson of late night after the KU visit. w
Eric said Coach Self is all in on Flagg and said we have seen what happens when Coach is like that. - -We shall see.
Finkelstein also mentioned that KU was actively looking for another frontliner/big man and was talking about Queen saying don’t count them out there either as Queen is athletic enough he could play with another big.
Talked about how KU might be considered the leade for Jahlil B, but think it’s still wide open

Boy our 2024 recruiting really ramping up. – - THREE big time over Laor ay weekend - Bethea - -McNeely - - & Queen. - - -Emanual coming in on the 5th of Sept - - Billy Richmond on October 6th - -& then Cooper Flagg for ate night.
I think Jeremy has a big part in this, think he is really going to help, doing nice work. - As far as possible’s I think we have a very legit shot a Bethea ,- -might be able to snare McNeely - -wouldn’t mind Queen at all, But think that’s a reach with Flory commit. Still have serious doubts about the possibility of Flagg landing here

I know this kid may not be top priority But from what I hear is that Coach could very well be looking for another big to go with Flory - - -Reading see that Emmanual Stephen a Seven Footer is coming in for late night , probably a project but we know how Coach seems to develop Big’s if we lose out on some this would work really good size -excellent rim protector averaged 2.8 last year and averaged 3.8 in the Peach jam with a high of 12 in one game. -have to see how this al turns out. - -Seems like Coach is getting plenty of possibilities

@BeddieKU23 I would imagine that some hefty NIL dollars were allocated to get the new coach started off okay. But just a hunch on my part.

Not sure how much it will matter but McNeeley really enjoyed the visit. Queen on the other hand didn’t really seem to enjoy it or mesh with the current/former players.
There is a family member in our corner with McNeeley as well.

McNeeley would be nice. Queen is a good player but if we’re taking a second big to flory I’d probably prefer Stephen as I think he’s a good long term investment. Queen is better now but give me the defender to learn behind Flory.

Don’t feel very much traction with Harper. - He did not make a trip like they wanted with the other recruits this weekend. - - He was with his brother & Dad at the Rutgers football game.
They really did it up for him , HELL they even had the BIG commissioner there greeting him , with the Caption the Big didn’t want to lose stars to the Big 12.
They wheeled him up in a golf cart with his father and the whole Stadium went in to a full chant of we want Dylan - - We want Dylan.
I think he is pretty locked in to Rutger’s , his teammate going to play there ACE , - just don’t see him ending up here. We will be fine

I like the strategy Bill is using in this class given how down it is. Get 2/3 high end talents and then you can portal for more needs.
I also see the other big Stephen that’s visiting as an intriguing option as a development piece. Not sure with his recent offers from Baylor/Michigan/Arizona whether he’d be okay being the 2nd big in a class…

Unless they can contribute day 1 as a freshman, it is hardly worth trying to land high school guys anymore. The portal offers you so much more, and realistically lets you find role players who are actually comfortable being role players.

This class is also kind of bad so I’m fine with the strategy they chose. Either elite cream of the crop of talent or a elite late riser like bethea

Get Bethea…push all the chips in for Flagg. Only two lower prospects I like to see us make a push for are Passmore or Stephen. Other than that use the portal

Agree if we can get Bethea , which I think we have a pretty good shot at to go with Flory -then go ahead and take Stephen we be good. - The only thing is Flory and Stephen both 5’s ? not sure that would work
Now if we could somehow convince McNeely to come , he plays a 4 doesn’t he? - get him to go with Flory and Bethea - -I’d take that all day
