So just heard on a podcast, with Zeke committing, right a of this moment Ku is technically full on roster, HOWEVER things an change and probably will think we have at least 2 more spots - -maybe three. -you figure Jamari could very easily transfer now, - -Zach is probably gone – Dickinson is probably 50/50 at best, not sur what he is waiting on about announcing cause sorry he is just not making an NBA team- - old School positional big in the NBA maybe 10 years ago he would-be fine-- today no.
Then you have Johnny , projected late 1st round draft. Latest I saw was Kevvin was 22nd & Furphy was23rd pick. I think we en up with 3 more yet, more likely then not Jamari, - -then next last I heard it was like 60/40 Furphy was declaring/entring-- So two I think is pretty solid-- the Hunter—who know 50/50 maybe
Then even though he said he is coming back, does Jackson change his mind ? -Now you have Juan obviously—Zeke could always back Juan for periods and you have Philon- - -pg is going to be full with those three–does he go. - -I think w end up with uet three more. - -So then we push still for Cliff—then hopefully Mcneely decides to come , 7 then maybe another portal wing for depth- -gonna be interesting

@kuballin10 I doubt it. He’s a career less than 1 AST:TO guy. I don’t think he’s a NBA guy but he can make good money overseas as a shooter/instant offense

And just for reference, another really good college 2 that couldn’t play point. Junior year (off ball) was 2:1. Senior (on ball) was 1:1. It’s a very, very hard transition to on the ball and I frankly don’t think he can do it.

And last point on it, LJ Cryer is getting shopped as a PG and nobody is biting. Because he’s just not that. Nothing wrong with being a very good scoring guard and having a Keith Langford pro career.

IIRC, many of the stay/go announcements come after Self meets with players. Seems like announcements come around the time of the annual banquet. Is there a date set for that event?

It’s been before the banquet lately. Typically, we see 1 or 2 announcements per day and I think KJ got us started yesterday.

Oh yeah I laughed when I saw that number but given all the uncertainty regarding what actual money they are asking for/getting you can never be sure to laugh it off or believe it’s real. Bill is right, he isn’t worth that to KU. Perhaps he can get it from someone else

There’s changes with the Secure 2.0 Act coming this year and future years. Your company may have to up their benefits package.

I STILL say I just don’t think he comes back I would guess 50/50 tops, I’ve been saying and just a gut thing. Maybe it was from his Sr speech, he was saying what a pleasure it HAD BEEN to be able to play with the guys, gave me almost a feel right then and there – nope he is done, could be wrong, if I am , I am happened before, not the first & won’t be the last
If Hunter is coming back why is the staff out talking to so many other Bigs ?.-I know the staff was or is suppose to have this zoom call this week with Cliff-- -the entire staff, has anyone heard anymore on that?So this guy Broome – decent player ? - where or what School is he at ?

Broome has a career PER north of 30. Averaged 17 and 9 for Auburn last year. This guy is absolutely the man Self is targeting in case Hunter leaves and there’s zero chance he comes here if Hunter stays. This one is the staff doing due diligence and being prepared for whatever happens with Hunter.

Gotcha, ya I’m sure as you say NO WAY he comes if Dickinson comes back.–could be the staff already has a pretty good idea what he is going to do. Broome isn’t coming in to come off the bench net year

Is he better than big dick? I watched him play several games and from what I recall, i’d give him the edge in rebounding and defense for sure. Scoring? I dont know.

Is it likely HCBS is recruiting these transfers to force decisions? If current players go for the tryouts, does he have to keep a spot open for possible return?

More mobile big, he’s the kind of modern big you need and runs the floor better then Hunt. I do think he’s better then Hunt
