If KJ can add a trey ball at 30ish% he would probably be the best player on the team. I don’t anticipate that, but he would start getting some NBA talk if he can truly add a three point shot.

There was 100% sarcasm in that response. I could care less if he makes one 3 this year. Was just playing with the obsession of KJ shooting 3’s.

Are we counting the exhibition game? The tournament in august?

@BShark I’ll still take the over. Not sure it gets into double digits but 5 at least. This could all come down to whether he makes one at late night or not!

Olivier ends up at Michigan and not in the B12 thankfully. Had he made it to WVU Huggy might have had a top 10 lock of a team tbh.

There will never be another Scott Pollard. Shot 100% from 3 in college, 0% in the pros. 1 for 1 in his last KU game. 0 for 2 in his 11 year NBA career, both in the same season. I wonder if anyone else could possibly have such weird stats!

@BShark What player on the market could get minutes? The 4 spot appears to have the most opportunity for run. 1 Harris 35mpg /Elmarko/Morris 2 Morris/Timberlake/Elmarko 3 McCullar 35mpg/ Elmarko? 4 KJ 25mph 5 Dickinson 35mpg /KJ 5mpg

@BShark 6’4” Guard is all I know. Would he be a practice body or a viable player? KS high school basketball is not good so it’s hard to evaluate players. Clearly the staff sees something or they wouldn’t bother.

Clearly the staff sees something or they wouldn’t bother. That’s what I was saying earlier. I live here in Topeka, Highland Park not that far. He is decent player, but if your looking for a WOW - - not happening. Not right now anyways, he transferred out to a different school/place maybe help he at this point would maybe be a 5-7 minute back up while others rest. Like you said he didn’t face the toughest competition here in Kansas, - -not a lot of goof ball here in Kansas, not the stiffest competition. - -Don’t expect a lot if your looking for a game change. He is no better then say Chris Johnson that’s for sure, and we see where that ended up Remembre back though , there WAS ONE Topeka kid that played at Ku and did well. - -Name of Mark Turgeon lol, walking into Coach’s office and said I’m the BEST point guard you got.- - they offered him and turned out pretty good lol

Quick search: Former coach says he’s bouncy! Looks like he needs to get stronger, but we like 6-4 guys who can play D and shoot, right? Most of his highlights seem to be work out vids of him dunking.

@BShark Good get for KSU. There is some untapped potential from him for sure. KSU should be a top half of the league team between Perry/Tomlin/Kaluma. Not sure that Perry and Kaluma are as good as Nowell and Johnson. But Tang clearly can convince some of the top talent that comes available to consider KSU.

There is so much smoke with Kentucky and Cal parting ways after this season… Have to imagine anything short of a FF run could mean the end of an era.

The purple teams have certainly made some good moves.

This moves them up somewhere more in the middle I suspect. The league will be pretty tough. I’d say this pair is a clear downgrade from Key and Nowell but we’ll see.

Bill could do something with Brown.

@BShark how many years he have left? Think he’s okay coming off the bench? Braun getting recruited over already. McDowell might make some waves……

-

@Kcmatt7 no question. I watch a fair bit of Louisiana sports and he’s good. Not a world beater but he’s pretty skilled around the bucket and moves a little better than you’d think given he’s thicc, as they say

-

@kuballin10 just one, his 6th(!) in college. I think McDowell’s ceiling is JR Giddens without being stabby
