Loved KU but still taking visits to be smart
IU visit happens - he cancels his Louisville visit who is the coach he had a connection with
Commits to IU - appears we should have seen this one

@kuballin10 wanted guarantees (PT and $) that KU wouldn’t give but didn’t stop him and the family from committing.

@kuballin10 Rayjon Tucker was another one I had nailed since he told Townsend it was a done deal and he was coming, only to later visit Memphis and get a bag. Then not actually graduate so the whole thing was moot. Probably the weirdest one I remember

He would be a nice pick up for sure, but pretty sure he is staying in the draft is what I heard anyways, what you think ? - -But you know what big boy - - you know & I know we are going to be just fine as long as we have Coach Self. - -He will find players, and if they not quite as talented - - don’t matter cause as we know from past experience - -Coach is a wizard with him and the staff developing players. @kuballin10 yeah the combine is the big X factor. My guess is a 4 (whether that’s Nelson or a big wing) and a developmental big. Eat 2 of the penalty this year and give us more flexibility over the next couple years. We have 9 players now, 2 more makes 11

This makes a ton of sense though I think Bill would fill the last one. You only really need one more real guy (for that big wing spot) and then post depth.

Are there actually any names being linked to KU right now or is Self waiting for players to withdraw from the draft before pursuing any other players?

@Texas-Hawk-10 only Grant Nelson at the moment. Haven’t seen any others.

Notably there is a dead period from May 18-26 so if we are going to see another visitor soon it will need to basically be the first half of next week. Starting Tuesday at the latest if they want a full visit.

Arizona is in deep with Kaluma.
I think Phillips and Nkamhoua are both Guandong Tigers but there is a slim shot Phillips would return to college.

Any chance at the Utah Valley kid? Assuming he wants to start.
Seems we are fairly set at the 1, 2, 3 and 5 spots (not that Bill looks at it that way anymore).

You can withdraw and return to your original school if there is a spot there. It’s happened quite a bit already.

@BShark Hope we pull Emanuel Miller or Nelson - pipe dreams but either would be better than Mgbako or at least more proven.
I really want KJ to play the backup 5 role with Adam’s at the 4 spelling whichever stud nba draft dropout we get.
Seems that Juan, Morris/Elmarko and Timberlake are set 1-3 with Hunter at the 5
