@BShark we need three more shooters -we go Timberlake great, we got Morris -3’s? but hopeful, need Mgbako as a creator and 3 maker.was hoping for Tyson but that’s passed by.So Mgbako and another shooter /creator from pro tryout portal returns and we have lots of options at every position

We’re getting Mgbako. My feeling is we wait out the draft process but I can’t find any super likely candidates that are in the portal and would show up without a guaranteed role. Best guess right now is we just roll with 11.

Kinda feel bad about force Cuffe out if that’s the case. If 11 schoolys are used does that shorten the self imposed reduction a year?

@dylans yep, we can take the one scholarship hit in either 24-25 or 25-26 in that case.
I agree, really sucks for Cuffe. Not like he did anything to deserve the axe.

I haven’t even paid attention to next year’s class, is there anyone that could possibly reclassify if we end up with an open scholarship? Some on-the-job training to get ready and hit the ground running next year when we would likely see a few departures?

@RockkChalkk there’s a big visiting this weekend named Flory (#2 in the 24 class) who’s rumored to be reclassifying but if he does I don’t think it’ll be KU.

I don’t know where this is coming from, not sure where they are getting or seeing this but some posters on the IU board saying that analyst predicting that KU now has 4 CB’ picks for Mackenzie Mgbako - -saying picks coming in for KU like crazy - ye I don’t see them. Don’t see them on 247 so where are they ?

Julian Phillips (Tennessee) has apparently pull out of the draft and entered the transfer portal.
Kobe Brown (Fizzou) is seen as high as 42nd, but generally later. He hasn’t yet decided to leave the draft or stay.

The guys entering the portal now are mostly NBA Draft withdrawals so guys who are good enough to go pro right now, but still hoping for NBA shot.

I’d be willing to bet go out on the limb and say IF the re-do was of The phog- -well actually a portion of that money IS being put to use on upgrades of the Phog- -bet you wouldn’t have seen this article come out. Even though we make revenue obviously from Basketball the possibility for the revenue making sport and we get this NOW - I would bet you anything that if Allen needed major up grades - -w wouldn’t hear a peep about this crap

Agreed. Ingram is a good player but with Dickinson he really doesn’t seem like a great fit spacing wise. The wing market looked so bad back then considering it was just Tyson and ingram.

There is a big wing that shoots lights out with nothing to do these days. He needs some coaching to achieve post season success, but the talent is undeniable. Kevin something or the other Durant maybe? Dunno, but Phoenix doesn’t need him thru April anyway.

See now people off TOS saying MgBako is in Lawrence. - - One said his daughter is in Lawrene for graduation and saw MgBako at Miltons with the staff taking pictures, also somebody posting he is not announcing till tomorrow at 7:30
