Tennessee shot 12-27 from 3 against us. Harris fouled out in less than 20 minutes of play on questionable calls (and one obviously bad charge call) in a very physical game. Pettiford left early with injury and only played 3 minutes. A lot of things went wrong for us that game.
Today Tennessee shot 3-20 from 3, but they also missed like 5 or 6 completely wide open lay-ups. Like not contested lay-ups at all. I’ve never seen anything like that before, it was bizarre. Tennessee should have won that game.
Like I said early today, you simply can’t count on a Rick Barnes coached team. Especially for post season success. I will say though I’m glad we do have a loss, wouldn’t want the media constantly talking us up for being undefeated.

Correct 26th overall, 36th ranked offense, 39th ranked defense.
Weak non-conference schedule. I think this is a 2 man team that has average level starters besides them & suspect depth.
I’m expecting a tough, tough game but ultimately expect us to win, we are the better team with the best coach out there. Hopefully they play with poise.

Hopefully Nowell is done with his Linsanity run. Seems to have went back down to his more normal level.

Definitely had a bad game against TCU but worried he’ll be primed for a bounce back at home. He is, after all, the only K-St starter that has experience playing KU.

Man these B1G games are hard to watch. Buffalo ball most of the game and then foul for breathing the last 5 minutes. I’m glad we aren’t in that league

@cragarhawk I agree, the officiating has been like that a lot this year. First half just a few fouls and then the 2nd they go whistle happy and it’s double bonus for the last 10-12 minutes of the game.

KU women came back from 14 down at halftime to beat West Virginia by 19 tonight. KU won the second half 57-24 after being down 34-20 at halftime.

Wow, this UCLA-Arizona St game is great fun. Amazing action including a 60 foot buzzer beater to end the first half. When UCLA joins the BIG I’ll have a new more deadly villain than Fran to cheer against. Because Mick Cronin is a good coach but quite the unlikable character from what I’ve observed. While I don’t like the idea of USC/UCLA switching leagues just like I don’t like Texas and OU leaving seeing UCLA in the BIG does has some enticing allure to it. Gonna be some interesting games.

Gonzaga’s 75 home game win streak was snapped last night by LMU. The irony is during the 75 games, the mighty Zags played two (2) ranked opponents. Cupcakes, anyone?

@wissox In the last 5 seasons (about 75 home games) we’ve played 21 ranked opponents at home. (I could be wrong on this for sure)

We played 4 ranked teams at home last year. Overall, we played 10 games vs. ranked opponents last year in the reg season , so the majority of our games against ranked teams were either away or at neutral sites.
