@drgnslayr I don’t disagree with much that you say…until now. I friggin HATE K-State. I hope they lose every game from now until eternity. In football, basketball and I even hope the Livestock Judging team starts mistaking pigs for cows.
I will donate half my yearly salary forever to bring back Bruce.

I just like the tough rivalry.
It’s not much of a rivalry smacking down KSU every single game.
Kind of like college football dominance in the SEC… it becomes a big ZERO after a while.

@drgnslayr There must be something wrong with me. I LOVE smacking down KSU every single game. The greater the beatdown, the more I love it. There’s nothing worse to me than a 1 point game. Or in football - a 2 point game. After 3 overtimes.

@drgnslayr @nuleafjhawk sorry Nuleaf I agree with drgn. We need a good competitive rival. It’s why I hated to see misery leave. I want to see two games on the calendar every year that I set my life around. I want them to beat us every once in a while so we have reason to make it a fierce and bitter rival. But if you want to donate a million dollars to bring Bruce back more power to ya. He’s a studio guy on the big ten network and I can’t stand hearing that voice!

I am and I am hoping Tennessee kills them today. For all-time wins purposes and also because we lost to Tennessee earlier in the season.

Another ref crew that calls way to many fouls at the Ten v. Kenty game. Jeez, why can’t we get rid of these crews that think the game is about them?

Just like every year, Tennessee struggles to score. When they hit shots like they did against us, they look great. When they don’t, they are a quick out in March.

I think Alabama is the better team and has a higher ceiling.

Alabama is more balanced. 16th in offense and 10th in defense per KenPom. Tennessee is 1st in defense and 31st in offense. And their defense is sort of dependent on how the officials are calling the game. They play very physical defense.

Kentucky is playing better defense and Tennessee’s offense looks very bad.

Yep, Tennessee’s O has never been very good under Barnes and will be the reason they don’t make it to the second weekend once again. I’d love a rematch with them but it ain’t gonna happen.

They were 12-27 from 3 against us

TCU honestly looking a bit like us. When they turn up the d and get out in transition they look like world beaters but have shown they can go stretches where they struggle to score. (Allowing UT to comeback last game)

They have an elite roster. I think Alabama, UConn then UCLA in terms of raw roster strength.

@BShark UConn and UCLA are pretty good, but as far as potential and ceiling are considered, Alabama is definitely a notch above them. I think they’re the only team we couldn’t beat if both teams are playing at their best.
That said, I think we have a better chance to advance farther due to knowing how to close out close games due to coaching and how to win when you’re not blowing your wad from three. Got to save those for the elite eight and final four.

@BShark I mean, Tennessee beat us by 14 but after looking at their entire body of work and the way in which we lost, I don’t think they’re the better team. I’ve also watched UConn a bit and just don’t see the same potential as Alabama has at all. UConn has also lost 3 of their last four games. But anyway, it’ll all get sorted out in March.

Tennessee shot 12-27 from 3 against us. Harris fouled out in less than 20 minutes of play on questionable calls (and one obviously bad charge call) in a very physical game. Pettiford left early with injury and only played 3 minutes. A lot of things went wrong for us that game.

Like I said early today, you simply can’t count on a Rick Barnes coached team. Especially for post season success. I will say though I’m glad we do have a loss, wouldn’t want the media constantly talking us up for being undefeated.

Defensively & 37th offensively or am I reading that all wrong? They are ranked 26th overall according to Kenpom right ? - -If I AM reading that right - -then makes me feel a little better anyways - -still gonna have to buckle it up

Correct 26th overall, 36th ranked offense, 39th ranked defense.
Weak non-conference schedule. I think this is a 2 man team that has average level starters besides them & suspect depth.
I’m expecting a tough, tough game but ultimately expect us to win, we are the better team with the best coach out there. Hopefully they play with poise.
