Auburn to Louisville is definitely a step up. Louisville is a place you can win national championships at while Auburn is not. Pearl could have a monster at Louisville once their sanctions are done.
He has a very legit shot at winning the National title this year at Auburn. – Auburn is no joke - -Louisville though IS a joke. Don’t think you will have to worry about them making a title run. - Pearl ha the Auburn program at a level now where they are always going to filed a strong ball team even keel now with Louisville, unless they get a good Coach they are going to continue to waller in ehh ball, for sur not what they use to be
I’m not referring to this year specifically. Louisville has the same number of Final Four appearances as Auburn has NCAA tournament appearances. Louisville has 3 national titles to Auburn’s 1 Final Four that came under Pearl. Louisville is also committed long term to basketball whereas basketball is an afterthought at Auburn. Louisville is a top 10 all time program and you’re really going to try and argue Auburn that Auburn is an equal overall job? Sorry, but the two programs are not comparable to each other.
Sorry disagree. Auburn was more of a football program in the past - -not so much in the present day. Your final 4 appearances are something of the past. We are talking present and future. Bruce Pearl has brought the Auburn program up to the level where there IS interest in the Basketball program as evidenecd by the Auburn Kentucky game last Saturday - - insane atmosphere have one of the more talented players in the Nation in Jabari Smith. They are just not a football school anymore. In years past Maybe but not now. Yet it’s ok to have varying opinion you think how you like it’s fine. All I’m saying is in todays present and future Auburn is no dog have improve quite a bit and NOW at this point if not equal they are right there and I think now today - -lateral move

Oklahoma beat Huggy Bear by 10 in Morgantown.

Jeebus, this Gonzaga 7 foot freshman is awesome. So far tonight I’ve seen him drive for a dunk in the half court, drive full court to the rim, hit a few threes, dribble. Highly skilled.

No kidding. Ya know, having seen him play just a few times, he reminds me a little bit of Danny Manning. Dunno if he’s got his passing skills though. One of the announcers last night said something about him being the possible No 1 pick.

He was touted #1 after a couple games, especially for ball-handling, then struggled a couple times and reality set in waiting for more consistency across the board. If I recall correctly…

A lot of it is his lack of muscle. He is a stick and will need some time to bulk up in the NBA before he plays to his potential at that level. Once he adds bulk, does he lose any of what makes him a gifted player?
Those questions are why he’s not #1 and Banchero and Smith are more likely to picked ahead of Holmgren.

Schneider did a heck of a job overhauling that roster in the portal. That being said he’s never struck me as a particularly good coach.

Kentucky moved up 5 spots in the polls to where KU was before Saturday. Biggest jump of the week.
Duke stayed neutral. I was fully expecting they’d move up after beating a team without a coach.
5 ranked Big-12 teams in the AP Poll.

KU Women with a nice win tonight .65-56 over Oklahoma St , makes Ku to 14-5 on the year and 5-4 in the Big 12. - - 1st time KU had a season sweep of Okie State since 95-96 - The ladies went on a 20-0 run in a come back from 14 down at one point. - - The ladies Big - Jackson had 18 points - - 12 rebounds - -and 4 blocks. - -Nice job ladies

Depends on the night. They were good tonight and both games with UCLA played out similarly with the home team looking dominant and not really being challenged too hard each game.

I love how that AZ big man would follow Jacquez out to perimeter, and blanket him. That was a dominant defensive performance. Hope we don’t see them anytime soon.
