@approxinfinity I guess the different viewpoint of who he is makes me say he’s a bit of a victim because I think ESPN has made Americans dislike him. The Duke Whistle, his fault? Maybe a little but not without complicit officials.

@wissox you may as well say ESPN is a victim too by that logic. They’re just trying to get clickbait and eyeballs. Aren’t we all victims? We the consumer aren’t responsible for their bullshit, because we don’t know any better and watch it.
I’m not buying the victim angle.
Coach K would be unlikeable even if there was no one there to watch him.

I think you are both letting your own dislike of him, and the KU history with Duke, color your perceptions of what American in general think. I have met dozens of people here in S Carolina who seem very mystified when I have talked negatively about the guy Jaybate called “Ratface.”

Ummm K is by far no victim of anything , K is an intimidator to the officials for one. - - As soon as he thinks he is being treated un fair then watch how the calls sway for the rest of a game. - -ESPN kissing his ass doesn’t make him a victim by any means all they do is promote him. Why the hell is Villanova and UCLA playing at 10:30pm on a Friday night??? That needs to be a prime time game considering it’s a pair of top 5 teams playing each other. I hope I can make it awake for that one and then tomorrow night is the same deal with Texas and Gonzaga playing at 9:30.
These should be high profile games in prime time slots, not relegated to spots where most people won’t be able to watch.

Talks about doing things right and the integrity of the game, while being the biggest and best stacked-deck Doc Holliday-like cheater. I expected more from a Beard team defensively. Maybe Zags are that good. Or maybe UT is a bit worse than we thought to start. Really expected this game to be better.
KU was after at least 3 of the players for UT, so I’m a little surprised

@Kcmatt7 Zags are good. Texas isn’t there offensively yet. They have some pretty inefficient offensive players (Carr/Askew).

Florida/Florida St is on ESPN. Close game until Florida with a nice run. Empty seats seen. Unbelievable! Rivalry game, FSU ranked 20. Florida playing on Billy Donovan court. He should still be coaching there. They were a worthy foe for Kentucky to worry about every year. I like what Billy is doing with the Bulls but he really should have stayed in college.
