Absolutely correct and can do it in lightning speed… especially as we start pushing up the tempo!
I am soooo ready for Self to push these guys to up the tempo! I know it takes practice to become efficient… but I think by conference time we will be pushing the pace more than now!
This team doesn’t have the defensive abilities to play as up tempo as a lot of people want to.

They have no choice but to. The skillsets of our players demand an up-tempo run style, the D feeding off that. We don’t have the enforcer(s) inside to play mostly half-court sets. We don’t. The frontcourt depth and talent is coming next year (and I think Cam Martin will surprise), but this year it’s just not there.

WOW!!! Badgers losing by 22 near the end of the first half to Indiana. Badgers win by 5! Indiana has lost 19 in a row in Madison which is as much a testament to Wisconsin’s prowess in the sport as it is Indiana’s struggles to hold on to relevancy in the game. I’m actually pretty fired up right now!

West Virginia holds on to beat UConn despite shooting 12-27 from the FT line. B12-BE now tied 3-3. KState is probably going to lose though.

Way to go Big 12: Texas Tech and W. Virginia knocking off ranked non-conference opponents this week. Texas plays Seton Hall tonight, so another chance for some non-conf cred.

@BeddieKU23 Yes. In fact Valpo has two other former Badgers. When I saw they played EW University I had to look it up and was surprised to see it was just up the road from my house. It’s a 15-20 story building in the south downtown area of Chicago right on Michigan ave. The school doesn’t even have a formal athletic department as far as I could see. The basketball page had a notice “Tryout for the basketball team”. They play a schedule of local D3, juco’s and small schools that really don’t have any sort of athletic affiliation.

decided to watch a little College ball last night turned on the Game with West Virginia and U Conn - -didn’t see much of the game - -BUT did get to see some muggings break out lol

So a couple of things. 1st watching Teas and Seeton Hall question so do we pull for Texas as a member of the Big 12 - - - OR do we wanna see the runners to the SEC get their butts kicked lol.
I"ll tell ya Tre Williams , Marcus Carr , & Andre Jones are going to cause some headaches sometimes during the year… Question where did Tim Allen come from ? - is he a transfer ?

So, Ron Harper, Jr, scores 30 points (including the game-winner) to beat Purdue.
His dad, Ron Sr., scored 30 points 37 years ago this week to help his school (Miami, OH) beat Purdue. And eventually won 5 rings in the NBA playing with MJ and Shaq and a few others. (Thanks, ESPN)
Sounds like it will be a fun holiday season for the Harpers!

Stunningly, Iowa St has arguably the best collection of quality wins of any B12 school at this juncture - Xavier, Memphis St, Creighton and Iowa. Overall, the B12 has had the best top to bottom non-conference results of any other conference by far - several wins against Power 5 schools and other quality wins (albeit not really top 10 types of wins), and relatively few bad losses.

Might be apples and oranges, but I’m hoping for the best.

DePaul outscores Louisville by 16 over the last 17 minutes to turn a 9 point deficit into a 7 point victory at Louisville. Any time Chris Mack loses a game I’m happy, but I’m also happy for DePaul.

Read where Gonzaga’s game with not sur which but with either Washington or Washington St has been cancelled due to covid. This marks the third straight game they have either had to Cancel or forefit not good for them

That’s what I like about what Auburn received. To the NCAA he being the recruiting felon that he is - at every stop lol and they were straight out busted - Pearl and Auburn still didn’t receive a postseason ban.
