Self said he wouldn’t be at a 100% so he may come off the bench and play for limited minutes. Self sounded like he may not be back to full strength before the end of the season.

@Texas-Hawk-10 Very true the team hasn’t had a winning conference record since 2000. Bonnie got lucky with sweet 16s back to back years but even in those years never finished higher than tied for 6th in the B12. I honestly thought she was a good hire when we got her, she was pretty good at Virginia Tech. This definitely a make or break year for Schneider, he needs to bare minimum finish 6th in the conference and make the NIT. That may not even be good enough to keep him around. Rich Price should’ve retired atleast 5 years ago, he’s good guy but has only finished in top half of the conference 2 times, the last being in 2014.

For anyone interested in knowing, our nosebleed seats in the Superdome weren’t terrible. I thought I might watch the action on the screen, but my eyes were drawn to the court.

@dylans The amazing Superdome… wow! New Orleans is an amazing cultural city… but the governmental corruption has handcuffed that city for decades. The Superdome is a perfect example. After the initial construction, I guess money appeared missing and required a formal investigation which didn’t resolve anything. I’m pretty sure the investigation itself was tainted in corruption. All I know is it went from being NEW in 1975 to a troubled facility within one decade. I recall visiting the SD back in the 80s and have a photo of myself standing on a burned up automobile directly in front of the SD. But then… what can you expect of anything being built over a cemetary… there are stories of ghost/demon sightings, even during Saints games! The Katrina disaster turned out to be a blessing for the Superdome… finally making officials punch through a very needed $320 million update, of which only part of that was direct damage from the storm. The Superdome has undergone several updates since Katrina… finally raising the standards up high enough to earn them a nice extra funding source by branding the Superdome over to Mercedes in a 10-yr contract in 2011. Actual branding vision: Better ideas: Or… how about the entire roof become a lit Mercedes logo… visible from Musk’s Tesla roadster, floating in space! LOL

@JayHawkFanToo I don’t recall it being so. It really wasn’t the most popular move to add those two teams in the first place and I don’t think those schools liked it too much either.

They also took two quick shots (unnecessary 3s) under 2 with the ball and lead. The announcers were yelling so loud to burn clock i cant believe Drew could not hear it. If they grind 20 more ticks and score even 2 pts at that point we probably lose for sure.

@dylans I see us as a Sweet 16 caliber team at this point, that can change if Billy is able to and Newman finds his groove. But I just don’t see this team being in the NC conversation anytime soon. Maybe it’s better that way and we won’t play tight in NCAA. If we make 3s at a high rate which we’ve done at times this year, we could beat anyone on any given night. @ParisHawk I agree, I think that having a bunch of evenly matched teams can be better for us when we haven’t looked near as dominant as some of our past teams.

@wissox No apologies necessary , It’s MY downfall - - a weakness of mine - -always been that way , and has caused some pretty heated conversations amongst friends in my past. -I know it’s just sports your right -yet everyone has or so it seems that ONE thing in their life that they are overly passionate about I think. - - Mine happens to be Sports. I’m a sports Junkie - -eat , sleep , and breathe it lol. I think it all stems a lot from being so active with all sports growing up. Basketball - -Baseball - - Foot ball - -Track you know. Then me being able to Excel in baseball and making that ONE huge mistake by not following my dream of professional baseball. - -Had my chance , and let it slip away, but like I believe I have mention before things were a lot different in the early 70’s then now as far s salaries go. Spending my time officiating Basketball for so long staying close to the game - -Coaching Football - -Basketball - - Baseball So I could stay close to my passions after my days were done as a player in these sports - - It’s my weakness - -you are for sure not in the wrong - -again you need not apologize , I should apologize to you actually - -and so I will - -SORRY once again I’m quick to react -it’s just my fix - -these Damn sports lol. - - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY
