Staff has been really busy- -bust month for visitors :- -Josh Irving this weekend 6 ft 10 four star - – - -Sept 19th big time Maximo Adams coming in - - -KU , Michigan St - - -Kentucky ,- - -n Carol ,- - --Texas - -& Duke $ Star
Sept 226th is the biggest probably Damion Adkins coming in - - -was down to his final six was announcing his visits and then Cancelled visits now down to three- - KU- – Houston-- -& Rutgers -sounds like very interested in KU – —Tajh Ariza— here is where Tony Bland comes in play— Like within a couple hours after Bland was hired at KU Tajh announced a visit to KU-- Bland Coached Tajh for 2 years, Might not mean anything— then again migh be huge, he would be a awesome get.- -Then also we got Ethan Taylor coming in , Taylor been on campus many times- -better yet this one is an official, his Schools are Michigan St-----KU ----OU-- -Oregon— -Kentucky- --& Indiana I think we sit really good with him too actually hope things work out-- lots of promising talent coming in-- -got to close the deal on some of these- --Tajh and Ethan would be sweet

Things becoming a little more clear now for this old man. Hadn’t realized that Branch is projected as the # one recruit according to 247 sports
If we could land him with what else we got coming for 2026, would mean him re-classifying add him with the other one from 2027 if he would re-classify be a pretty sweet class.
Has anyone heard anymore about the 2027 recruit if they have been able to convince him to re-class for 26 ? be sweet

Powerhouse high school. Mostly in football though.

Interesting fit with this one and we’ll see if he is anything but a development type. They obviously liked his recent play, and the tape was pretty good from that. This is one Bland was after at his previous stop so early dividends with him it seems.
Gives KU the #1 class for optics at least for now.

Seems like most kids these days can if they want to. Interestingly he has been a fairly low key kid. Hasn’t really done the blessed to receive an offer from school thing on social media. In fact his KU offer wasn’t publicly reported previously since he didn’t mention it.
@BeddieKU23 yeah this is really turning out to be a large high school class. It’s not done yet either…

I’m surprised we are going big in this class which frankly isn’t that good so development will be key for the (Adkins, Perry, Barnett trio).
Assuming the not done has to be about the Branch smoke. Can’t imagine both Bardwell/Branch end up in same class on same team, right?
I wonder if going big on class size has to do with $, HS development kids being cheaper than transfer ones in the new rev share NIL life. At least that’s where my head goes.

I love how this is lining up. Focus on high school recruiting and player development. Bring in staff that help on both sides of that formula. Portal guys as finishing pieces not building blocks.

This class has a point guard, a shooter, a glue guy wing, a scoring wing, and a rim-protector big. Seems very well-rounded to me.

For those that care about the women’s team, major target Addison Bjorn is announcing this week. She’s the real deal. One year of her, Smya and Jaliya Davis would be pretty exciting. Believe KU should be the pick but Iowa is a real threat.

she’s a fantastic player. Made the usa u19 World Cup team over multiple 2025 5 stars who are playing in college right now, and she was one of the most efficient players on the nike girls EYBL circuit this summer

Was listening to Coach Self in this press conference just now and media was having him give or try to give his opinion on who he thought a couple of the commits reminded him of
He was ask about Kinney : He said he was good scoring point guard , that he was a scoring point. and he reminds Coach of a Mario Chalmers-- nice
Coach was asked about Adkins : Said he wasn’t a Shaddy but very well could be, said a little more bouncy then Shaddy, Said he was probably more like Markieff , so not bad for those two

Word now appears to be Bjorn to Texas and Carter Bryant’s sister Cydnee to KU. She will play basketball AND volleyball.

Just wanting to say , I really do getting of this but really have to mention because it seems are getting a lot more talk of it.
Do you guys remember Coach Self mention to the media the other day that he felt that if they could land one more recruit /good player we had a god chance of this 26 class being a good/very good class a top three class ? he was then told we have been listed for having the # one class , he wasn’t aware of that he said .
Well guess what? I think and has been talked about by many others that they think there might be goin on behind the scenes , which kind of goes along the lines of him saying they still recruiting and have some lined up , just didn’t know when it might happen in the early signing or in the spring.
Well all the fire is surrounding Tryan Stokes getting more and more analysts saying pretty multiple pofcasts talking about this and saying the same much same thing-KU is really in the thick of this and they saying now he comes to KU
I can’t think of his first name but last name is Torres and he has one that has talked about it, he usually has inside sources------- , Shay Bedore from JayHawk Slant said he has a source that talked to him asking him if he asked do you have your story ready ? Shay asked what story and the source told him he had heard from other sources about this. Shay mentioning he was considered a big UK lean for quite awhile but now saying now it would surprise him if he did land at KU;
Now even KSR which is a huge UK station is reporting the UK is fading and KU is climbing and for sure in the thick many UK people think now he is coming to Kansas My only thinking is if he is such or was such a favorite to land at Kentucky then why – - — didn’t he just go ahead and announce for Kentucky , or just go ahead and sign ? They also are mentioning Coach Townsend playing a HUGE role in this has both hands deep and that Ku AND both Stokes camp have very strong interest going both ways. As far as Stokes having sign Nike deal and KU being Adias can for sure be worked around, and Adias saying they would match anything Nike had offered- -CRAZY but I think it’s gettin very interesting–could be interesting how it turns out.–I thought for sure he was all Kentucky but NOW no way would wan to place any money on it

This isn’t meant to be negative but we probably need a better bench guard than Elmarko as things currently stand.

Branch is reclassifying to 26 so that’s a great option regardless of Stokes
