TexTech Offense Numbers

RB Brooks comes to The Booth with 1,037 rushing yds on 193 carries. Big numbers, but mainly because TT second rusher has only 32 carries. Devon Neal has almost 60 fewer carries than Brooks, with Neal carrying 136 times for 828 yds and Hammerin’ Hishaw carrying 89 times for 517 yds. KU offense out rushes TT 1,783 to 1,554 and both have nearly identical passing yds, 2,100. I really hope KU gets the ground game going this morning, then sprinkles in some long passes to our WRs, who are just tearing it up with great, NFL-like catches.

I really love our backs Devin & Daniel, yet lets make sure not to under estimate or under value Brooks , yes he has rushed for over a thousand yards , , on like 60 some more attempts, however mainly because they have had to rely on him more for the work load because for the majority of the Season their top two QB’S have been out. This will be only the 2nd game for their back up QB Morton since his return.
Make no mistake Brooks is a very legit back, very strong and has top notch break away speed. Hard to bring down/tackle. He has a 5.4 per attempt rush average and most his run at his best are between the tackles right up the middle. - Brooks is the type of player that has given KU defense trouble, our Defense has got to wrap up, make stops.
I wouldn’t trade our backs for anybody. Love Devin and HiShaw and even McDuffie. Gonna be a hard game, if Defense can get some stops, the crowd is loud, make this an unfriendly enviroment - I think w pull this out , but don’t let that 4-5 record of Tech fool ya, if people think this will be easy, it will jump up and bite us right square in the ass. - - KU 35 -Texasa Tech 31

Patrick Mahomes’ presence at the game today probably won’t be noticed by the players. It’s more of a media thing where Mahomes will be shown repeatedly during the game.

a quick short pass to get Bean out of his head might help. seems like he’s waiting too long and not good throwing on the run. Video not showing the coverage though so hard to tell what’s going on

That’s not the issue. Bean’s knee is the issue. That looked like it could have torn some stuff in his knee the way he fell.

Man time to change up, run Hishaw a couple of times or get them both in the backfield at the same time. - -Would love Jason to run - but no can’t take a chance get him hurt
