My Dad from LaHarpe, KS called Missourians Pukes. Which is a true moniker with roots back around 1830 or so regarding the lead ore discovery in far SW Illinois and when so many Missourians crossed the river that a lawmaker or someone said that Missouri puked people onto Illinois.

Norm Stewart was the coach at UNI before Mizoo and my Uncle Paul from Anderson county KS was a teacher there at the time. He said Norm was a good guy. I loved my uncle but geez.
