Was told athletically he was not KU level fwiw. Will probably struggle in the SEC.

Out of the LSU class Devin Ree is the one that always caught my eye. Tremendous athlete with size to play that 4 spot. Not leaving the South though I’d imagine

Aidan Shaw- 4 star forward that was committed to Missouri. KU did recruit him
Julian Phillips- 5 star forward backed off his LSU pledge
Tyrell Ward- 4 star SF backed off his Xavier pledge
Bryce Lindsay- 3 star Combo Guard backed off his South Carolina pledge (regarded as one of the top shooters in the class)
Devin Ree- 4 star forward backed off his LSU pledge.

FSU was salty he didn’t commit to them initially and made it worse going to the Gators. Will be interesting to see where that one goes.

I was not impressed when I saw him. His HS team has hovered around .500 the last couple years. That doesn’t mean he is bad but it does tell you something.
I think there is a good chance he still ends up at Missouri.

I don’t think his rank matches his tape at all so I agree. I see tools of a guy who might be something to look at down the road once developed but he committed to Missouri so that says all I need to know. It seems like KU took a similar approach here. They obviously were okay with him going elsewhere.

Good point! I think it depends. If we were to take another one they’d be able to handle and score. The one area I’m a little nervous about next year is we don’t really have a dude who can go get his any time. Think more a 2/3 where Shaw is pretty much a 4 right now.
ETA: this is why I want the staff to go after Skyy. Won’t happen, but I really think they should.

A recent decommit perhaps to watch? Ernest Udeh’s High School teammate 3 star composite (4-star on 247) Riley Kugel, 6’4 athletic guard has de-committed from Mississippi St. Athleticism jumps out on tape, big guard that likes to get to the rim.
