Made Sallis’s final 8: KU, UK, UNC, Oregon, Creighton, ISU, UCLA, Gonzaga. Don’t think we’re much more than window dressing at this point.

Sounds like the NCAA thing screwed KU a bit there, according to Bossi.

that makes two of us. Actually I’m really surprised that he hasn’t come out and siad he was going to Kentucky by now. It was my understanding from everything i had been hearing that he was pretty much gift wrapped to go to Kentucky - -if not there then North Carolina

I think that’s right. Also expect them to be active in the transfer market given likely immediate eligibility for everyone and the lack of evals for HS kids.

After landing two forwards in the class during the early signing period, the Jayhawks moved their focus to landing a more traditional big man who could help to bang and compete on the low block, and they did that in the junior college ranks with Curry.
Since getting to John A. Logan Community College, Curry has transformed his body, gotten more mobile and more athletic which has helped him to compete at a higher level and also produce very well.

Just worried Recruiting juco’s points to an overall talent decline coming through the program. There’s no way around the downturn we’ve seen

@BeddieKU23 I actually like this class a lot. Last year was concerning but might work out. Overall I think we will see college hoops with less talent going forward.

Tbh Curry might be better than the bigs we’ve thrown out so far today. But really, I don’t know his academic situation but ideally we could get him mid-year.

Seems to be doing well in JUCO but grades are the reason he is there. He likes to rebound, which we kinda need.

Bummer but Curry has some serious muscle and bounce to him and probably sees the court earlier then Aidoo

Yes and yes. Throwing the kitchen sink at him.
Kansas: “They’ve been telling me just to come in and I will have the ball in my hands right away. They don’t have a point guard right now as you can see. They need a point guard really bad and I’m close with coach [Kurtis] Townsend so that’s a good relationship.”

There would have been a lot of overlap with Gethro and Aidoo imo. Curry definitely offers something our other bigs don’t, he looks immovable. Zach is an elite shooter so Curry will be the only true non-shooting big.

Yeah Isaac’s would start and play 30 minutes a game next year so that’s a non-issue. He is 22 but KU wants him to reclass. His top 4 (not official but the main players right now) is an even Nike/Adidas split lol. He’s at Wasatch where Kurtis has strong connections so it would be nice to not get blind-sided on another Wasatch kid…
The staff wants a PG for next year pretty badly, even with Harris being solid. They don’t really view Bryce as a PG.

ya true. – -If they want someone bad enough - -they find room kinda ask nicely politely for someone that they might be better off transferring to another school - -kind of push them out, - not really very nice , but it happens at a lot of schools a lot of the time…
The question becomes is there any mutual interest I wonder on his end of things ? - - I noticed in his 247 composite that KU wasn’t listed as one of his top 5 Schools of interest. - So how much interest does HE HAVE in KU ? - If there is mutual interest what kind of chance do you think we would have ? Plus wonder if he would seriously consider Re Classification ?
