@FarmerJayhawk the trouble is that they are saying that 40% of the population is infected and probably doesn’t even know it. Some people are wondering if they did have in January. We had a sickness at work that sounds like Coronavirus and we were all tested for flu, strep and pneumonia but all were negative. But we all were tired and coughing for 3 weeks. It’s just crazy right now with how little actual info there is.
I don’t think anyone’s saying that’s absolutely going to happen. It’s all based on projections, and some of those are from the data we had weeks ago and a scenario where we did nothing.
I agree there’s significant uncertainty, which makes caution all the more prudent.

Well here is another thing with the virus. - -It has been said that some even a lot of people will have such a mild case, say they go in and get tested - they said that the test will come back negative ! ! ! - -and yet they ARE infected , just such a mild case it doesn’t show, so their infected and can go out and spread the virus thinking they tested negative , what the hell do they do - - - they have to be tested a 2nd time ?

This year, Kansas played its final game of the 2019-20 season on March 7, 2020. It was a 66-62 victory at Texas Tech.
It’s now March 15 – just 8 days later – and I feel something is missing. Seems like a feeling I haven’t felt for a long long time.
So I did a little research: When was the last time KU finished its season on or before March 7?
Even in 88-89, when we were banned from the NCAA tournament, we still competed in the Big Eight tourney on March 10, 1989.
You have to go back to March 2, 1982 when the 1981-82 season ended in a loss to KState in the first round of the Big Eight tournament.
HARDER QUESTION: When did we end the season with a WIN on or before March 7?
Back a bit farther to the 1975-76 season when we finished with a victory at Oklahoma on March 6, 1976.
I was in 5th grade. The planet had about 4.1 billion people. Billboard’s number one song was “Love Machine” by The Miracles. Median US income was $12,690.

The NCAA was saying they didn’t have kits to test players, families etc. That’s one of the reasons I’m seeing

That is why most effective quarantines for this require 2 consecutive negative test 24 hrs or more apart to be released. They didn’t do that when the US hastily flew the passengers back from Japan who had been aboard the Diamond Princess. That resulted in some who later were revealed to be positive being on the plane.

Ok more humor for you. True story - My friend, who works in Philadelphia at a paper plant that makes toilet paper for a major brand (Scott’s I think), says when he returned to work on Monday the bathrooms had no paper.
