@KirkIsMyHinrich SEC chant is pretty gross. Living in the midst of it for a while, I got pretty tired of SEC this and that. One time LSU rival Alabama was in town and a local sports writer actually wrote that it’d be good for LSU to lose to Bama because if Bama lost it would screw up their chance and the leagues chance for another NC. It’d be like us cheering for KSU to win a game against us because it’d be good for the league!

@approxinfinity Watching the games last night what struck me the most is how much better all these teams are than we were. Their level of athleticism and hustle is just far, far superior to this year’s flawed team. I think had we somehow made the S16, we would have experienced an epic humiliation. We don’t have anywhere near the athletes. Sad but true.

@wissox Agree with you. I don’t feel so bad about getting our butts kicked. NC was playing well and Auburn just kicked their tails in the 2nd half.

Duke is living on borrowed time. - - eck -a ONE win against UCF - - and by a miracle 2 against Virginia Tech , where the guy just flat out blew the shot at the end. - Wasn’t Duke stopping him from making the shot - just flat out blew it. Life is good

@BShark Auburn worried me from the get go, I said they could’ve been a 3 seed after smoking thru the SEC tournament. People laughed at me. I think they have a great shot to beat UK. I think folks forget this Auburn team was ranked 13th in the last AP poll and hoovering around 10th in Kenpom. They are hot at the right time.

Tech took a full strength Duke team to the limit earlier this season. And yes, I’m assuming Tech plays Duke since Coach K is 11-1 against Izzo all time.

Tech seems like they’ve gotten a lot better since they lost to Duke earlier in the season. Still, I’d probably take Duke in that game because Tech will have to beat Duke and the stripes most likely.

UVA and Purdue has been a great game tonight as well. Carsen Edward’s is a stud.

@KirkIsMyHinrich Everyone for Duke had a bad offensive game that night. The 69 points they scored was one of only 2 times they haven’t scored 70 points all year. Tech’s offense is why they lost that game.
If Duke beats MSU tomorrow and Reddish is less than 100% for a second game against Tech, Tech can focus much more on Zion.

@Texas-Hawk-10 Cam Reddish has been having a bad offensive game the entire season. He’s shooting 35.8% from the field on the season… Even if he’s 100%, Michigan St should not be taking any focus off of Zion (or Barrett) for Reddish. Michigan St should be wanting Reddish to shoot the ball as much as possible. I don’t think Reddish being 80% or 100% really impacts the game very much. I don’t know why anyone would.

That virginia-purdue game was phenomenal. Too bad for purdue they lost their heads at the end of regulation. That was kind of inexcusable.

Auburn has a chance to knock out 3 blue bloods in a row which would be kind of cool for them and if an SEC team is going to the FF I’d rather it be them than kentucky.

It makes Kansas look better if the team that beat them does well in the tournament. And Kentucky is Kentucky so… go Auburn.

Dam - -I just fricken can’t stand Virginia - -takes everything I have to even TRY to watch one of their games - - and your right Purdue just blew that game – refs flat out blew the call late in the game - -the announcers talked about it late in the game - -Purdue kid got bullied at the top of the key - -mean mugged and they call nothing - -

@KirkIsMyHinrich Sorry, but players who suck all year are not still currently projected as top 10 picks in the draft this year, unless Grimes is also still projected as a top 10 pick. Reddish must not suck as much as you think he does to still be a top 10 pick.

They took a serious blow and chances when they lost probably one of their main players Okeke he is out with a torn ACL - -gonna be a problem now for sure - - HUGE HIT

@Texas-Hawk-10 His overall stats this season are slightly better than Quentin Grimes, and his shooting percentage and effective shooting percentage are actually worse than Grimes. His draft position is based entirely on future potential and not on the way he’s playing right now. Maybe he’ll be a good NBA player someday, but currently he’s not even good at the college level. And since Duke plays Michigan St today, and not in 3-5 years from now, your post is irrelevant.

@KirkIsMyHinrich Cam being less than a 100% or not even playing today is going to negatively affect Duke no matter how much you want to dismiss him. Bad players don’t stay top 10 picks so obviously Reddish brings alot more to the table than shooting which seems to be the only aspect of his game you think matters.

@Texas-Hawk-10 Yes he also averages 3.7 rebounds and 2.0 assists. He’s filling up the stat sheet.

@KirkIsMyHinrich Reddish doesn’t play in the paint, he’sa perimeter oriented player so he’s not going to have a bunch of rebounds. Never mind that despite his shooting, he still averages 14 ppg as the number 3 option and almost 2 steals a game on defense.
Reddish is the guy that can do everything and him being injured is going to negatively hurt Duke quite a bit.

@Texas-Hawk-10 13.6 points per game on 35.8% shooting is not a positive for Reddish when Duke as a team shoots 47.9% from the field. The 1.6 steals per game is nice, but he also turns it over 2.7 times per game, and only averages 2.0 assists per game. His offense is really bad unless he’s standing in the corner and making 3-pointers, and his defense is okay.

@BShark yep the refs favor us supposedly but we never get the friendly touch fouls and dont get to repeatedly hit shooters on the arm with no calls.
