Self knows this deep down too. When games have been tight down the stretch he has frequently went small.
Gives the post player enough room to operate inside. Just not enough shooting and speed on the court otherwise. Defense is “good enough”.

Not every team will have the defense to defend our bigs, tonight has been a mixed bag. Garrett cant play in a big lineup as effectively as we’ve seen him in the small ball
