man we just got to get some of our 3’s to fall and of Course Duval ain’t done doggie doo most of the year and today of all days he decides to go off gonna be huge the first couple of minutes in the 2nd half - -Duke has the ball to open

Only reason we have more boards is we have missed a ton of shots. I’m encouraged that balls are bouncing our ways off misses. But to win this game we gotta make shots. Nothing else matters. Shoot 60% this half and win. Shoot 40 and lose

Graham isn’t the issue. Vick is the main issue on offense. If we keep trying to run offense through him this is ending in a loss. Self is being stubborn again and it’s going to bite him.
Newman has missed some shots too but overall he was decent.

@Blown You aren’t considering what the other team has done defensively. And you aren’t considering runs. Once the game is over you can call it that if we are still shooting 28% from 3.
Duke hasn’t allowed a good 3 point shooting night since February 3rd. We are currently shooting the 6th best of the 13 games they have played since St. Johns. We are shooting what we shoot and they are defending how they defend. Pretty on par for both teams. Not a trough.

Cut down the TOs, get some 3s to drop and this game is ours.

Everything Self schemed worked but our guys were not recognizing the obvious because duke kept shifting zones. It’s the best multiple defens I ever recall

@BeddieKU23 was never a good matchup for us. A team with size that takes away the 3.
Yet somehow we are only down 3 and could just as easily be up. Selfs gameplan has been better than Ks. I think we look better than them right now.

If they keep that zone, I don’t know who you put in those inside corners. Vick isn’t ready to be the man. Like Washington, who dared Vick to win the game for us. He scored 28, but we lost the game. Svi is an interesting idea, but he needs to be on the outside.

Self’s offensive scheme tonight is poor, he should have learned his lesson from previous zone teams he played this year.

@Kcmatt7 Kansas shoots 52% against zones so they are down 24% from their average actually. i refer to a trough as a valley in performance based on this 1/2 if basketball only. hopefully they can get it up to 42-44% by the end of the game.

And I saw one of Self’s old 3-2 junk zones one possessions.

@Blown you can’t just consider what one team does. Especially when those numbers are inflated because we have never faced a zone team with this much talent.

Duke missed 1 fewer shot than KU, we’re legitimately outrebounding them so far.

@jaybate-1.0 Wright will do the same kind of crap if KU pulls off a miracle and wins this game. Which I severely doubt.
