There was a recent interview done about Dave where coach Self said that he is a perfectionist at things which can cause some of his growing pains. Kid has gone through a huge body transformation from when he weighed over 300 pounds in High School. He has the drive to be good and that is something to applaud in him. But I agree the things he did against Texas that were negative are maddening. I’m guilty as heck at reacting to that in the moment I have been too hard on Dave on numerous occasions, but am glad that we have him. Imagine what our record wouldve been without him this season. Yepp he has grown into an important piece and next year could be something special for him if he continues to improve

I think Texas got in his head on a lot of drives. Same with Dave, you could clearly tell he was pressing and making dumb plays. The fouls are what frustrate me the most. Getting your 2nd 3 minutes into the game, getting your 3rd within 2 minutes of the 2nd half. Those kind of mental mistakes are, well, Dave.

Luckily plenty of snow to melt in the tub for flushing the toilets and we’d been saving up water just in case. been there done that. - -some years back had a really bad ice storm- was without power for like a week. - - I was going out and scooping snow out of my yard and putting in an ice chest to try and keep some food cold. - -was able to buy a little bit of bagged ice cause the entore city wasn’t without the entire time. - - I remember neighbors using generators - - not fun

I know some Iowa St fans that are hoping they go winless in conference so Prohm gets fired. I Can’t say I blame them. That being said, we were a 15-point favorite and we won by 33. So good job there. Just need to keep developing players (emphasis on Thompson, Braun, Jalen, and I wish Enaruna would play more) and hopefully start putting together some win streaks. I still think it will be a LITTLE more competitive game in Ames tomorrow - not saying how much but I think they will have some added fight, not wanting a repeat and actually they had played fairly well against others before last night recently. I do think in our game they kind of gave up not much there, just got this feel might be a little different
