  Uk, Villanova, Wisconsin, Iowa St. I think Nova UK make finals on matchups. Btw I don’t have KU past 2nd round regardless of who they play. I would love to be proven wrong. Just going to be hard to win games when you best player is 80% maybe and no cliff. Team is banged up and tired, it’s worn out and the draw did us no favors, we got the worst of it.

  @Lulufulu Agreed on Self influences. SHOECO - AGENCY COMPLEX is only a hypothesis waiting for more news data points to surface. For now, there seems no need to go beyond what Rick Pitino left at their and the NCAA’s doors. Will be interesting to see if more surfaces.

  @jaybate-1.0 I havent looked at Kenpom for a long time. In fact, I have purposely ignored it this year. But I just looked at our stats. Apparently KU is back in the top 10 on Defense Eff. ( #9) Not surprising, our offense eff is #31. ISU is basically the exact opposite of us. Super good on Offense and not tops in Defense eff. Maybe that plays in our favor?

  @nuleafjhawk I think Rick will be around next year. We are applying our expectations on Texas. Seriously… Texas fans do not have near the same expectations we have. I’ve had discussions with plenty of Longhorn fans. Sure, they want to improve. But they don’t quickly throw Barnes under the bus. He is very well-liked. And many of the fans point to his achievements more than his failings. First… if they let go of Rick, who would they replace him with? Granted, Rick underachieves in results, but he does recruit some top talent. There is no guarantee the next guy could recruit as well as Rick. And it is very unlikely he will be as well liked. Rick has a bunch of friends, not only the State of Texas, but all through the B12 and USA. Texas is a football school. And also a baseball school. Basketball… well… to be honest, what is helping build Texas basketball is Baylor. Yes… Baylor! Texas fans don’t like to lose to anyone in their State. They used to be focused on TAM, but since they are gone, the focus is on Baylor and Scott Drew continues to recruit a lot of talent and challenges Texas hard. More UT fans are speaking up with Texas loses to Baylor. These same fans expect to lose to Kansas.

  @BeddieKU23 A lot of KU’s inconsistencies are/were due to the top conference competition. There is no doubt that you cannot take a game off in the conference. Look at the latest rankings according to Ken Pomeroy No. 9. KU No. 10. OU No. 15. Baylor No. 16. ISU No. 19. Texas No. 26. WVU No. 36. OSU No. 57. TCU No. 81. KSU No. 155. Texas Tech The conference might not have a legitimate top 5 team but it has 6 teams in the top 26. and other than the two bottom feeders the other 8 teams are all ranked in the top 57 and 7 of them in the top 36. No other conference comes even close. Look at KSU the #9 team, it went 4-2 against the top 3 teams and swept OU, and 5-3 against the top 4 teams, or look at the #19 ranked Texas which is in the last four group in the latest bracketology…that is top to bottom balance.

  @DinarHawk I would say we want to be in the Duke or Virginia brackets. I’m not basing this off yesterdays results either because they both lost to good teams. Virginia doesn’t look the same with Anderson back and they want to muddy the game up just like KU has done recently. I think we can match up better with Virginia than say Nova. Duke, is all 3 point shooting or nothing so they could always lose in the first round like last year. So right now I’d say we want to be in those brackets

  It sort of reminds me of the punk culture in the 70s-80s. Something from London because the conservative moment wanted to push people off the dole. The pressure was building… especially when the Iron Lady took power in '79. The youth was forced into seeking employment, so all the spike colored hair, piercings, and wardrobe prevented them from being hired. Personally… I prefer the punk movement. They put a lot more energy into their protest… Plenty of creativity, which extended into the punk rock music scene.

  You know how many times I’ve heard KU called K-State or the Kansas Wildcats? It’s sad that the announcers can’t get it right, but to put up the wrong graphic… Come on! You have time to prepare for that.

  @jaybate-1.0 I havent believed it myself until now. But, I think we can beat ISU tomorrow. If Perry is able to hold his own and be ok, not healed, just ok and our trey guns can shoot better. I think we can win. I think KU has a fair chance to win. They will absolutely be underdogs in the vegas odds. Thats cool. I hope KU knows this and hears that everyone thinks they can’t win. It gives them fuel. It makes them mad. An injured opponent that is mad and on the defensive? Bad news bears man.
