  @wsloan311 I had some Ukrainean neighbors once. Resilient persons. Their people have been murdered by Nazis, Commies, Kleptocrats, and lately Neo Nazis. They just keep getting on with growing grain, building stuff, launching rockets, and sitting on one of the world’s biggest abiotic oil reserves at the best point to distribute it to the largest super continent. How this all plays out I don’t know. But ever since I read Alexander Hamilton reason that the world had two great center points controlling global trade routes and that North and Central America was one and the Eurasian center line was another, I have wondered if/when America and Russia might JV over EURASIA the way USA-GB have over the oceans. Ukraine probably wouldn’t get run over AGAIN if USA/RUSSIA ally. This issue seems the hot button behind the fractious US election and this exceedingly spooky liminal period after. It’s a game for all the trade marbles. One candidate wanted war with Russia to protect its Chinese relationship and one candidate wanted alliance with Russia that implied containment. And the Crown of GB was/is very concerned it gets its cut. This appears a very sticky wicket that really might be resolvable, but what do I know!!! Glad I don’t have to make these calls and just get to cheer for hoops!!! Whatever, the US constitution, busted in the chops though it’s been regarding our civil liberties, KEEPS doing the framers’ intention of pitting all sides against the other despite many at home and abroad on all sides trying to compromise this America I so love! It ain’t pretty right now at all. But you can feel the most savvy players for the most powerful axes of private oligarchies head butting like great bison and being drawn in ever deeper into quick sand of constitutional process even as rules are apparently being broken everywhichway they can be. Shoot, they can all come and kill some or all of us tomorrow a bakers dozen different ways and get away with it, but afterwards they are still hog tied in the constitution pitting them against each other. The idiots that say it’s just a piece of paper are constantly finding out how it triggers unforeseen alliances against them at home and abroad. The constitution has always drug would be domestic tyrants into the web of international relations, and has always dragged foreign tyrants into our domestic web; that’s how it was supposed to work and that is how it has worked. It is an awesome contract!!!

  @justanotherfan I like your vision, but I’m just not sure it is possible to speed the guys up or slow them down during a game, especially several times back and forth (when Landen is in our out). I think Bill has trouble keeping his players playing at a tempo he likes anyways. I’m amazed at the final score being so many points on both sides. Sometimes the game seemed to be so so slow… with guards walking the ball up the court, sometimes moving at a snail’s pace. I think Bill was measuring his team in that KSU game. He wanted to know how they perform at a slower pace, and the purple kitties where more than happy to run a slower game, too.

  Even though most of us seem to think that Graham may not end up being a projected first round pick and should therefore stay…doesn’t mean he won’t go anyway. Look at Selden. Or plenty of others from other schools. Self appears to be recruiting as if he will lose more than Mason and Jackson.

  @jaybate-1.0 I’m not sure how we have arrived on the subject if the Big 12 is legit or not? I mean lets be honest a case can be made the Big 12 has sucked for the last decade or so. As KU wins the conference every year. I don’t have a dog in that fight. I could care less. Besides Coach has had KU play one of the toughest schedules year in and your out. Don’t really see the point? Well unless you’re just trying to down play KU’s two conference wins this year, because they were close wins against so called bottom dwellers. That some how that equates to a below or average KU team? No I’m not on drugs. Just went back and reread some of my posts and realized I was being a bit to bullish with my points of view. So I was trying to make amends. I’ll let you have your point for now. But don’t come back in 3 weeks when KU and coach are rocking and rolling, talking about how Coach is the Zen master. Plus that somehow you were privy to all. No you made your bed. You’ll get sleep in it.

  @tundrahok Boy you nailed it! Our front line problems right now with Cheick Diallo still on the team? Well we wouldn’t be worried about it if he was here. I can’t fathom a team taking Cheick after his season here, but it’s their money so whatever, I guess. As for @elpoyo I’ve been critical of Wiggins too, not to the extent he has, but I have. I’ve concluded that he (she?) is just hyper critical of our team as a fan of our team, really can’t enjoy the team unless we win every game but he’s still a Jayhawk fan. I don’t like to be the speak only negative things type, as most of you don’t either, but if he was a troll, he wouldn’t be here year after year writing the things he does.

Although Sherron was a star for two years, his teams did not live up to the 08 team’s accomplishment. During that period, people tended to hold him responsible for the failures and focused on every mistake, turnover, and pound gained. KU had nowhere to go but down after 08. Frankly, although everone knew we had to replace all the starters after 08, Sherron was the victim of overexpectations since fans had gotten used to miracles. Winning the conference was not enough for lots of people. I hope everyone someday can appreciate what a freakin’ good job he did in taking the team on his back those two years.

  @jaybate-1.0 i must remind you that Devonte had his fair share of bad games last year. From my perspective, he has not been attacking but only looking to shoot, as well as gambling on defense occassionally that puts the team in a bad position. Like I said before, I will watch him closer to see if anything is there.

  @JayHawkFanToo It will work quite well I suspect. I know neither the Roman Catholic Church, nor the US-Israel lobby are announcing that they want fewer seats on the bench, so that the Supreme Court can be more representative of the population at large. Seriously, the Vatican is just as complicated of a multi national organization as any. It has a long history of having schisms within it that lead it make alliances with seemingly unlikely allies in order to root out some of the internal problems that plague it, before moving forward with its longer term agenda.

  @JayHawkFanToo Speaking of doctors, I met Dr Christian Moody while I was working in the surgical intensive care unit at KU ummm back in 2012. Real nice guy. We BS’d about the current team, he even gave me an autograph just for kicks. Ah yah and I met Tyrel Reed coming out of work at the same place one day, probly right before one of his last classes in his PT school. Also, great guy.
