In all the depressing news, I thought I would share some personal news as a reminder that life continues. Would encourage any of you to do the same! Good time to catch up on everyone!
I just had my 2nd kid about a month ago! Baby girl. Got one of each now, but living the 2-kids under 3 life. Its been a lot of fun. Got to spend a lot of time with my son while out on parental leave. Took him to his first Royals game (that he remembers) and now he won’t stop talking about baseball.
Also, sold my house about a year ago this time. It was a bit of fixer-upper when we bought it. I put a lot of my savings into that house to fix it up, and even more sweat equity. Sold it for more than I would have ever imagined after only being in it for 5 years. Was able to pay off all of mine and the wife’s student loan debts and are probably 3-4 months away from moving into our “dream” home!
I got my Master’s Degree about a year ago. I just started working on my CPA finally. About 10-years later than I should have but we can only look forward!
Hope most of you are doing well in life and you’re staying grounded in the stuff that matters most.
My 6 year old came home singing this, which he picked up at school. I guess theres a clapping game that goes with it. I enjoyed the regional variations in the reddit thread.

I wonder if you guys have encountered any similar spoken word things (or other things) that varied greatly by region?
Well just finished watching the Ladies close out their Non-Con - -finished 11-0.
Now comes the telling factor. Can they translate to some conference wins. I DO have to say they have some athletes , pretty dam young. - -We have 2 Seniors on the team and only one plays - -she plays a lot Decarvalho - -pretty decent player - -some some pretty athletic guards - -like I said we pretty dam young - got some ladies that can drain the 3. We have like 3 Soph’s & a Fr -that play a lot.
The freshmen Kersgieter looks like a REALLY GOOD player drained like 6 3"s tonight , sweet looking shot. - Just wish I could get a little more excited, non con is over- -Hell even we could go 50/50 in the league would be improvement.
I DO think these ladies can be a challenge in the next yr or two for sure - -1st game against - Okie State Saturday - -they are 8-3. - -Ku & Texas Tech are the only 2 un-beatens in league - - -we shall see. - - ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

Best Christmas wishes and good health to all !
(That second part may be a bit tricky after today’s holiday calorie-fest, but anyway…).
Merry Christmas from all of us in the great Northwest !
Merry Christmas - - and I know what you mean huge Calorie fest lol
Oklahoma wins in overtime 30-23, they really kept Baylor in it with turnovers and questionable play calling. I’d say it’s on LSU to get the conference back into the playoffs for a third straight year.
@approxinfinity
9 TO’s, 6 assists. If a lot of TO’s came on passes, the team might still be figuring out how to mesh with him.
It took awhile for the Kings to get shooters who could convert Nate Archibald’s assists. But if Trae is just passing badly, or losing dribbles while being spectacular, he needs to ratchet it down.
@kjayhawks Since I cheer for Chicago guys, I too was excited for him. I’d seen him play in HS and he looked really good when I saw him. But wow, he let the whole Windy City down last year!
@approxinfinity I enjoy the heck out of Halloween and it’s rubbed off on my kids. They love all the spooky stuff. Last year my then 3 year old boy was at Walmart with his mother looking at Halloween costumes - she was trying to get him to agree to a Woody from toy story outfit, but he wouldn’t have it and kept picking up a bloody pumpkin head specter costume. Some older lady walked down the isle and started giving my wife a lecture on parenting - you’re going to give him nightmares letting him play with that scary stuff - When my 3 year old turns to her waves his fingers in at her and says “oooooh spoooooky!” Sarcastic sucker. I’ve got my hands full, but he sure makes me chuckle.
