I’ve had some hardships over the past year and life can be a complicated mess but everyone has their ups and downs.
I got a big promotion a year ago but the benefits haven’t outweighed the negatives so I’m at a crossroads. It has brought me financial stability in these hard times though which I’m thankful for but I know I’m going to have to make a decision one way or the other at some point.
My son has become fully invested in baseball this year and the journey still continues. He went from Little League to All Stars to now travel ball and will pitch in his first 9U kid pitch game tomorrow so that’s very exciting. I’m a nervous wreck but can’t wait to see him perform. We have lived at the baseball field since April, and it’s been an honor to watch him grow as a person and player. I don’t think we’ll know what to do with ourselves when the travel season ends next month but basketball is next up for him and he’s excited for that. Hopefully this year I can get him into watching some KU games with me as he was curious at times last season.
With work - similarly I got a promotion about a year ago. Then immediately we were (are) and industry current administration is going after. Caused a ton of stress. Went to therapy to help me understand why I was hating work so much. It very much helped keep things in perspective. Just a thought if you haven’t tried it first before leaving.
Congrats on the baseball! Good luck to him pitching! I miss playing baseball at that age more than any other competitive sports I played.
My 6 year old came home singing this, which he picked up at school. I guess theres a clapping game that goes with it. I enjoyed the regional variations in the reddit thread.

I wonder if you guys have encountered any similar spoken word things (or other things) that varied greatly by region?
All Fiction - No Malice intended (in JB’s honor)
As stopping the Jayhawk Juggernaut from reaching the pinnacles of NCAA glory via conventional means seemed improbable the least coast confederation has chosen to escalate to methods of mass destruction. Lead by the swoosh and a sports network left unnamed and supported by coaches along the eastern seaboard (and the bluegrass state)… Oh hell I just can’t even imitate JB much less make fun of the disease sweeping the nation.
Get back here Jaybate!!

So, they acknowledge that the outbreak simulation was real and that Gates Foundation is involved, but hide it under claims Gates is “profiting from it”. I don’t think that’s what most people are claiming at all. So they try to cover up the facts by debunking lies.
Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation have a mission that’s globalism and population control, among other things. They fund a company that does virus research under the guise of “livestock research”.
@jayballer73 he and Self are friends. They alluded to hanging out together last time we were in Morgantown. I think he deeply loves basketball and the process of coaching guys up. He cares about his players.
@approxinfinity He did average 8.7 assists per game in college. No apparent game plan by Lon to incorporate that into any cohesive winning strategy, though. Chances are his pro teammates have made it clear that they want to make buckets too, and did so in a convincing way other Sooners were not allowed to raise because of the coach ceding Trae the key.
@kjayhawks Oh I did put up cameras after the bucket of peanuts was dumped over the fence. I let them know they were there, so they’d quit more than trying to catch them. I still caught her tearing up my property (police said they would prosecute, handed it off to another district and mothballed it - blue wall crap) and going on a rant about how they lived there first so that makes it ok. I replied what in the world does being here first matter? That doesn’t give you the right to endanger others, besides my family has lived on the block for 5 generations and you just moved here 10 years ago.
Lol, jerks
I love my new neighbors.
@mayjay ? I guess if there was no fracking the oil well would stop producing and there would be no salt to dispose of so there would be no earthquakes? Fracking is no more responsible for the earthquakes than cars are. Ultimately fracking is responsible for air pollution and the destruction of mankind by that logic I suppose.
